Silly Game I’m making

Around six months ago I started working on a game based of the Qsmp and the character Tallulah. I’ve coded this completely in Java and am now slowly developing the graphics. The game is similar to a tamagotchi except you must type in what you want to do instead of using buttons. In the game you basically do your best to keep Tallulah alive and there are silly things from lore; like when feeding Tallulah giving her avocado toast makes her temporarily fatigued. Since she has food fatigue from Phil’s avocado toast. I also have a bunch of other things I want to add like being able to pick your egg and the difficulty. I’d also like to eventually translate the game so everyone can enjoy but that is incredibly hard and I would need help since I only know English somehow fluently and a little Spanish . Anyway once I’m done with the game I want to make it free to play. I’m not necessarily sure why ive decided to write and post this but I did.

I’m making a game that is very loosely connected to by having Talluha in it. Ive also seen people upset I use the name Tallulah instead of lullah and I’m sorry if that made anyone upset. I’ll be fixing my code since majority of people prefer her to have the name lullah (and her mod wishes to be called that) . I will try and use it more commonly but it will take me a while since my brain takes a while to make a change like that.

TLDR:

I don’t support Wilbur, Talluahs name in the game will be llulah

Qsmp game updates

its not going to well…

so it’s summer now for me and I’m not busy but I have hit another wall in coding the graphics. (this will be my death) I finally got a laptop so I can work on the game from anywhere. problem is I don’t have access to intell J. (the software is not free and I can only get a 30 day free trial and I can’t finish the game that quickly) I still don’t really know what I’m doing with javaFX but I could change softwares and mentally go insane trying to figure it out. Until I pick my next course of action the game will not be worked on. If I decide not to work on the game this summer it will not be pick up and worked on until the fall when I’ll also be learning python. I’m worried that might interfere with the game because my brain will mix up the coding languages.

Games updates

hi, it’s almost been a year since I said anything about the Qsmp game I was working on making and thought I’d let people know where I’m at.

Currently the game has two main things to finish and then I will publicly release it. It will have updates until each egg is added to the game then if necessary there might occasionally be bug fixes. The two main things that need to get done are getting the game mechanics out of the terminal and into the game side (the side a normal player who isn’t editing the code would see). Secondly is finish and add graphics to make the game pretty to look at this includes coding buttons and images and dialog.

qna:

Q: what’s taking so long?

A: I’m a one man coder making an entire game all by myself with occasional help from other coders to fix bugs. I am also in a very stressful and busy life mainly with school and autism related burnout/ adhd, and just general procrastination not letting me work on it when I have free time. Another thing is my Qsmp hyperfixation has died and it’s making it hard for me to feel passionate about it.

Q: What’s the time estimate?

A: I’m hoping sometime this summer but if not probably later 2026 to early 2027

Q: Will the game be free?

A: yes the game will be free.

Q: Will other languages other than English be added?

A: I would love to be able to translate the game for everyone but I only know English and a little Spanish. If anyone fluently knows any of the languages reach out to me.

Q: what’s the plan for the eggs?

A: lullah will be the first / default egg upon release. The later updates will introduce the other eggs and once two eggs are released you will be able to pick the egg you want to take care of. Currently this is how I plan on releasing the eggs first lullah then Chayanne then community polls (letting you choose who gets added next until all eggs are added to the game).

Q: can I play the game on mobile?

A: most likely no the game was made on pc and made for pc and i don’t think it’s worth the effort to get on the app stores.

Hi!!!

it’s been a while, I wanted to hop on with some updates! So I’ve only been able to work of the project for one hour each week and most of that time has been research on trying to learn JFrame. Two weeks ago I was recommended to consider javaFX and I am under the impression that this is a better option for me but I literally know nothing about it so it’s going mean no progress for quite a while. Currently my coding club at school is the only time I can really work on it due to the crappy pc I have at home. So I’m also limited by that sadly. I believe that’s all I have to say and I really appreciate everyone who engages with my silly project.
