Justin Rodriguez is a 28 year old trans* femme genderqueer Black and Indigenous Latin@ activist currently residing in the Seattle area. They've been organizing since 2008 mainly around issues of homeless, housing, and QTPOC youth. Currently they are one of the founders of United Against Systemic Racism a #BlackLivesMatter organization dedicated to using various means to end institutional racism. When they aren't organizing, Justin enjoys poetry, anime, painting, and indie films.

Feb. 17 Love in Diaspora

This episode features Sylva Jones, Jackie Bannister, Jill Mangaliman, Rosie Diño, Katrina Pestano, & Elaine Agoot.

Elaine is dedicated to ending oppression, especially against queer people of color.They are involved with Got Green, API Chaya and BAYAN PNW. 

Katrina is a cultural worker and community organizer from Southern Mindanao, Philippines. She is a Community Organizer at API Chaya, Bayan PNW Co- Coordinator, Katrina would ideally be writing rogue pinay raps while snacking in the sun, but more likely taking long afternoon naps. Katrina believes in the transformative power of community-based art and media. 

Rosie — Bayan PNW Queer Collective Representative; a member of Gabriela Seattle for about 7 years in which I’ve been doing organizing work for the same length of time on social justice issues. I’m also a boxer and hope to compete some time next year in the masters. I’m a Seattle native.
