I adore Halsin with the other companions, but the depth of feeling for Quarter/Tav with how much he's done for him is unmatched. Mans had the world on his back for a hundred years and someone comes in and takes the weight for him without question.

A 6x6 grid populated by 2 custom geometric forms: three-quarter & half-filled pie segments. Each cell runs a looped 300 frame animation, beginning at random frames with pauses between states, creating asynchronous rhythms. An inverted fractal block map determines which shape appears, yielding an uneven distribution across the field. A hand drawn mask removes some blocks from the contour. “You’re playing with that thing again huh, Connor?”

The quarter coin danced across the android’s fingers. By now, Hank had tolerated it. Not that he had much choice, as Connor always found a new coin every time Hank confiscated one.

“This is good for calibrating my processors,” Connor replied.

Hank raised an eyebrow.

“…And it’s fun,” Connor admitted.

The lieutenant chuckled and, to Connor’s surprise, brought out an identical coin, flicking it in a smooth pattern.

Albeit not as complex as Connor’s, it was not bad.

“Even old dogs can learn new tricks, Connor,” Hank said, flashing a proud grin.
