Norfolk Naval Shipyard’s historic Quarters A caught fire yesterday (August 12th) in the early hours of the morning. Built in 1837, this building had housed several shipyard commanders over the course of the shipyard’s history. Though we are saddened to hear the news of the destruction, thankfully it was not occupied at the time.
