Quick story time: Me and my brother were saving a place for the Queen Nation concert, it wasn’t on for another hour. We didn’t buy tickets but since it was a semi outdoor concert we could watch from the outer area. We were leaning against the railing right in the middle and there was this tipsy looking guy just walking around the opposite side of the railing. He starts walking towards us. I get a bit nervous and turn away. He comes up to us and says “Listen I got one more of these. Here ya go.” And he puts down a QUEEN NATION GUITAR PICK!!! And I’m just stunned, I say “Wow! Thank you!!” And he smiles at us and walks away. Then my mom comes to us a bit later and I show her the pick. And she’s also like wow! I tell her wot happened and I point out the guy. He was in the indoor area talking to some people waiting in their seats and he looks up when I pointing him out and he smiles and puts his fist up, meaning “Rock on” or wot ever ya wanna call it. We do it back. Later on we come to a realization that HES THE FRIKIN BASSIST. HES THE FAKE JOHN DEACON!!! AND I DIDNT EVEN REALIZE IT.
So in conclusion, a fake Deaky gave me a cool pick
Queen Nation, a Queen tribute band at the Concerts in the park at Santa Clarita Central Park. They were amazing!! Nothing can beat Mercury and his band, but these guys did pretty good in my book. They had the sound and the stage performance to got with it. Got to meet the whole band and Freddy Mercury (Gregory) switched hats with me before the picture was taken! I'm wearing his hat and he has mine on! (I got mine back though). I also was tossed two beaded necklaces, two guitar picks (both by the man in the last photo with the curly hair) and Gregory tossed me HIS drum stick! His! He loved my outfit (everyone did) and it was the coolest night ever! (I made two Queen pins on my vest and a Flash Gordon shirt). I hope to see them in concert again someday soon. (I also talked to Gregory before the show and I didn't know it was him!)
