I love your drawing style!! What your biggest art inspirations?
Hi !! Sorry I didn't answer faster, I wanted to be clear-minded for this, and also it gave me time to think a bit about it !Anyway !!For "real" artists, I really like Walter Moers' illustrations, whose level of detailing is simply mindblowing. I'm nowhere near his level, of course, but I know I'd love to slowly get there with my inked work, especially with In Full Circle !I also really like Brett Helquist, who illustrated the Baudelaire Orphans series. I love their sense of composition !! They can pull off crazy angles and very good poses, and I know I was pretty amazed by how good these drawings were as a kid ! It really pushes me to exaggerate and push my poses as well, something I'm not very good at, but am working on !There are also a lot of comic artists, such as Loisel (I love his way of making very different and... Ugly faces, if that makes sense ? I really need to work on that as well because it's just so good !), Philippe Buchet (who did the Sillage series, which I adored as a kid and should really read again, cause man, the backgrounds and details of the clothes were striking) and Hugo Pratt (have you seen the way he shades stuff ? It kills me every time)I've also met and seen wonderful artists on the Internet, such as leppu, who still mindblows me every time I see their work - like, man, the quality of their lineart is to die for ! It's so crisp and neat ! And I also love how varied their faces and characters are. Definitely an all-time favourite !) and queenoftheantz, whose style I keep studying because FUCK, it's GORGEOUS, like, the poses !! the fluidity !! the lines !! the colours !! And there's always a certain eeriness to it, a certain magic, that I keep falling in love with over and over again. shacklefunk is also a great source of inspiration, as they always come up with different and wonderful character designs, and the poses they can pull off are astonishing, especially when they work with multiple characters ! It's so natural and not stiff looking, and I'm super inspired by this ! It's always been one of my goals to draw people interacting together in a natural way, so every artist who can do that makes me go all heart eyes <3I might go back to this list, but these are the first artists that come to mind ! There are others of course but I think these are the main ones. Thank you for this question !! It was a really good one :D
