“Storytime” The mage might cuddle up next to the dragon.
Send me “Storytime” for my muse to tell yours about a legend from their culture or home town || @nexusinpacem
The black scaled beast tucked the mage under her wing to keep him warm as he cuddled up beside her to listen to a story.
“I don’t know all the details, but when I entertained at the palace, I heard of a tragedy that befell the aid to the queen before that child took the throne. Apparently, one of the former priests had launched an attack on a poor village, killing all but one person there. The aid was so distraught by the tragedy that she turned to black magic to try and revive the slain souls.
“They weren’t sure why the news was so distressing to her – Kul Elna was a village of thieves and crooks, but she had turned her back on the Gods, and in their rage, they cursed her to become a terrifying monster. No one’s seen her since that day… I doubt they ever even tried to help her; those damn royals can’t be bothered to lift a finger to help someone else!”
"Sir Critias...would you like for me to.../teach those shadows/ a lesson for saying such cruel things to you...?" {queenoftheundead}

“That’s not necessary. Those shadows are just that. Shadows. They can’t do much harm, all they can do is talk.”
Scaling the wall and opening the window were simple tasks. The upper half of the Queen of Fiends was just barely through the window when she addressed the bug duelist (whom she remembered was /not/ a strange new type of monster she'd never seen before). "You never told me...what you know about Bakura..." {queenoftheundead}
Like always, the insect enthusiast was alone in the house (save for his live collection). His bedroom was covered in blackness due to it being the late hours of the night, the only light source being that of his firefly night-light in one corner of the room, the soft, dim light over the cage of his large yet timid moth, Seta, as well as the moonlight shining in from his window.
The sound of the window slowly opening made Haga stir in his bed. He groggily lifted his head and turned to look, vision blurry due to taking his glasses off before bed and placing them on the nearby dresser. The darkness of the room coupled with the strange sounds from outside the window made Haga weary, and it was only until he could see an unfamiliar (from his currently sleepy state) being crawl onto his windowsill and into his room did he properly react.
It was as though a vengeful spirit from one of many famous Japanese horror films - the very films his parents would order him not to watch, lest their son get nightmares and irrational fears of television static and phones - had found its way into the world that Haga, Yugi, Bakura, and many others called home.
The turquoise-haired boy scrambled out of his bed, eyes locked on the being as he fell backwards, scurried along the floor and pressed his back against the bedroom wall furthest from the window. Too terrified to hear what the creature had said, Haga grabbed the closest thing near him - a bug net - and held it out by the extendable handle, eyes shut in fear as he wildly swung it about in an attempt to protect himself.
