Group Cosplay and Convention Information

Attention all club members!

Are you curious about which convention we picked? When we are doing costume tutorials and preparations for said convention?

Where are people going to stay? What is the group cosplay?

Well then come to the club room, A602 of the Queens Centre at 5:30pm this Friday for this week's meeting. We will talk about convention stuff so that everyone can get started during the break. Please remember to RSVP to the event page because we need to know if we should rent a bigger room.

Please note that this room is not our club room, as it is an orientation meeting we are assuming a large amount of people are going to come out, and our club room only has a max occupancy of 19.

Fan Expo

Hey everyone! 

We hope that your summer has been going well so far and that you are all getting excited about Fan Expo. 

This is our first con since the club became official so we are definitely pumped! 

If you have not already registered we recommend you do that soon. We will be discussing an official day for the club group cosplay soon, so let us know either here or on facebook which days you plan to attend. 

If you need any advice about cosplays or about conventioning please let us know. This is the 20th anniversary of Fanexpo so it is going to be bigger than usual, and certainly much larger than Toronto Comic Con for those of you who attended with us last year, so if you have any concerns let us know and we are happy to help. All the club admins have attended New York Comic Con at least once, which is one of the biggest (and one of the best) cons so we can offer plenty of advice!

We will update again in August once Fanexpo has put up their schedule. 

Let us know if there is anything we can do, and stay tuned for updates!

We apologize for not organizing anything earlier this month - its been pretty busy

We plan to figure out dates for events/workshops etc this weekend and then we will post plans here and on the facebook so stay tuned

Also, if you have anything specific you would like to do this term (more game days/screenings of specific shows/or any specific types of cosplay workshops) send us an ask and we will do our best to arrange that!

sorry if i've asked this question already, internet is not working properly so not sure if it got submitted but is it still possible to join this club in the new year?

You can totally join in the new year though, there’s absolutely no problem with that :)
