It seems like more and more people are finding that while discussing Stonewall and its importance is very valuable it is less then ideal to center the United States of America in all our discussions of queer history.
So I thought it may be helpful then to give people some places to start when looking at queer rights movements globally. This is an incomplete list and is just meant as a place to start but if you are interested here are some people who were revolutionary in countries outside of the United States of America:
