Quentin Jones
Shot by famed photographer, director, and illustrator #QuentinJones, the edgy pop-art-esque campaign is refreshingly modern and expressive, bringing to life the #PowerofOui through wild textures, bright colors, and larger-than-life Oui Juicy Couture maxims. Featuring the members of the #OuiJuicyCouture squad – #Devon, #India, #Gizele, and #Luping, each ad and video displays their distinctive versions of the playful, take-no-prisoners Oui Juicy Couture attitude. #CATMNewYork (at New York, New York) https://www.instagram.com/p/Bn7uJmSAfnm/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=msdwo2695ntf
Illustration that Moves
Yes, I moved on from still images and had a go at making a GIF, and safe to safe it worked, and I rather like what came of it. It was something I hadn't previously done before so yet again had set myself another challenge but it worked out. I am starting to find a running pattern of new things working well for me. Taking risks do work.
I just wanted to do a simple GIF where only the drawings moved across the image, just to add subtle movement to the image. Each element of the image moves well together, creating a nice flow of work within the image. I will be expanding and exploring more techniques in the future with my work.
Created on Photoshop
Inspiration for the GIF was when I was introduced to the artist Quentin Jones. Who creates these delightful animations with photos and drawings, that just give that added element to the work. They in themselves tell a story.

The work is very different to anything else I have seen, its very eye catching and I feel its on the same wave length of obscurity as Tim Walker with his photograph. The visuals that are used are so unique and adventurous, that they stand out, they are bold, bright and so intriguing, you begin to wonder how it was done. Making something look so easier that I am sure is not. The collages and the little animation is what interested towards this artist as it is something I could see myself doing. I know though looking at the work I have a lot to learn and a long way to go, but its always nice to have a little bit of hope for the future.
