30 Days of Character Development: Day 3
3.) Name one scar your character has, and tell us where it came from. If they don’t have any, is there a reason?
There's a thin white scar approximately four inches long that runs diagonally across Julius's right side, right below his rib cage. This scar was acquired on a day when seven year old Julius was reluctantly roped into roughhousing with his older brother. It's an act Julius always tried to avoid, partially because he's never been fond of physical contact that could result in unpleasant bruises, but mostly because Seamus had a tendency to get, well, rough when roughhousing and either disregarded the fact that his brother was five years younger and half his size or simply didn't care.
This round resulted in Seamus shoving Julius rather forcefully into into an end table with a large vase on it, knocking the table over. Ever the graceful and coordinated child, Julius somehow managed to land on the vase and get himself cut through the thin material of his shirt. The worst of the cuts healed into the small scar that remains today, and Julius maintains to this day that verbal lashing the boys received from their mother was far worse than the glass in his side.
