Somehow filled up my queue with 1000 posts, so if you see me posting more than usual, it's just me trying to get the backlog out lmao.

HEY THERE TELL ME ABOUT YOUR OC'S. Please. Who is the most difficult for you to write? Who is the most fun? Which OC feels the most like a "person" when you write them? Who surprises you the most? What have they done recently that went against expectation? Who probably has a stockpile of snacks they refuse to share with everyone else?
OKAY so tumblr didn’tfeel like I needed to see this notification?? Anyway aaah. The most difficult characterto write right now is probably my girl Mala Suerte. She’s one of the maincharacters of my mad-cap post-apocalyptic scifi story. I have trouble with her personality. She’s meant to be an insecure nerd hiding behind a badass facade? But then I need her to actually BE a Hardcore Badass ™ at times. I keep waffling on howhorrible I should make her backstory and if she should have a “no kill” policy.Either of these changes would change her character significantly. But she’salso a riff on highly capable loner characters like Riddick, so shouldn’t shebe over the top ridiculous?? Everything else in the story is absurd. I keepwriting random scenes just to try to get a feel of what she would do. (Re: more reasons this story should be a comic.)
Most fun to write is myriver witch, Alekandrea, from my Southern Gothic urban fantasy story…thing. She’sbeen tasked with finding a hurricane’s stolen heart and she Did Not Sign Up ForThis. She’s frustrated and nervous and flabbergasted and unprepared, but shefinds very novel ways to solve problems. I guess that’s the answer to your nextquestion too! Alek isn’t near as versed in magic as she needs to be for thisquest, but she uses her skills efficiently. Recently I had a scene where therewas an intruder in her “house” (she lives in a 1408 style haunted hotel room),and originally I was going to have her girlfriend burst in dramatically andhelp her escape. I expected Alek to hide, but then I realized she knew the room’s“moods” and pet peeves enough to snare the intruder. The room ends up(spoilers) eating the intruder and Alek escapes on her own. uwu
Mala probably has anemergency stash of snacks and protein bars, just in case the worst happens andshe’s stranded without food or water. Otherwise I feel like all my characterswould share snacks?? Sharing is caring. :D
