Drunk on a Dream

I recall

A shining sky

In the sweet summer

Sweating in the hot sun

Loving the beauty

Of cool blue rain

While thousands of red & purple shadows

Played together as the moon rose

Lying by the sea

I watched as the water misted above me

The wind as it sang

I felt alive

drunk and euphoric on the sunset

And now I can imagine

But a hollow version of that sunset

Dark and cold

For I am

No longer

in this

dreamworld.
