The lack of an emotional reaction was intriguing to say the least. He had half expected her to scream and curse at him. About halfway towards the front door he paused, debating whether on not to act upon his idea before turning back to her.
“Mrs Barlow” He began, taking a moment to gather his thoughts. His men were going to detest the words about to come out of his mouth. “I shall only make this offer once. I cannot allow you to fight, your lack of experience would be a liability to the safety of my men. That being said, whilst the majority of my fleet shall attack directly; the crew of two of the ships shall sail around the island and the men will attack Nassau from behind.” He was almost certainly slightly insane.
“If you wish to be present for the aftermath, to see Hornigold swing, I will allow you passage on one of the ships. The men will leave you in the village until the battle is done, and once we have forced the English to submit I shall send someone to retrieve you. Unfortunately I must ask you to make you decision rather quickly.”
