Stunned. Absolutely shocked. She hadn’t planned on the other to jump in front of an attack meant for her, but he did. Her eyes could only flutter for a moment before she would lunge at the attacker, making sure no further harm would come to the human currently in her care. The creature was something sent from this world’s ‘hell’, as it was explained to her, though she knew something was a demon when she saw it. She would finish them off before moving to aid Xavier, still very bewildered that he had done what he did. “No...” She spoke softly, very out of character for her before her eyes blazed.

“You foolish man... you could have gotten yourself killed.” She scolded him, her hands placing over the wound as she slowly started the healing process on him, even though she was injured herself. Avacyn was used to being beaten and bruised, the wounds on her were insignificant compared to the one now ailing the other. “Demons are dangerous, even for my kind... you could have been annihilated... your soul...” Her voice dropped when she noticed his healing halting with her simmering anger.

A deep breath was taken before she forced herself to calm down, if only to heal him before she went off once more. “Are you alright? Other than this wound, are you hurting anywhere else?”

The being that Avacyn had been fighting crumpled to the ground before her father’s feet, and a small sigh of annoyance escaped the Archangel as she looked up from her spot on the ground where she had been knocked down to. She had followed another being across many planes, fighting and pursuing until they had run out of energy to make the leap, and here was where the stand was made against the angel. They fought dirty, and had at many times caught the newly sparked plansewalker off guard with the nature and topography of the new climates they jumped to, though here on Ixalan, she was very much caught off guard by the different wildlife and the feel of mana of the plane.

She scoffed at her father as she righted her self once more, dusting herself off with a flap of her wings. “Had you been following us?” She asked, still somewhat furious about both the battle and the ‘stolen justice’ carried out. “Why are you even here? What could possibly bring you to this plane?”

Now that she was out of combat, she glanced around the thick jungle she and the other had found themselves in, catching sight of the many smaller animals that seemed to dart out of sight when she glanced over them. Where the blazes were they even?

A bitter huff left the lips of the archangel as she shook her head, keeping her gaze down as she rested upon the steps of the local church. Her elbows rested on her knees, and her head held within her hands. “I am only as strong as my maker intended...” She murmured, finally sitting up from her slouched position to lean back upon the steps.

“I went down there to vanquish the evil... and I failed.” Her voided eyes searched his. “For the second time in my entire existence... I have failed to do the simplest thing... the only thing... I was made to do. To remove evil from the land.” Though she wasn’t capable of crying, the angel could feel the emotions well up inside of her. “How am I supposed to be strong when I can’t do one simple thing?”

Anger

Loud, quick and frustrated grunts spilled from the Archangel's lips as she unleased her fury on the walls and statues of the abandoned manor within the Moorland. It was a small one all but consumed by the wildlife, though after the Archangel had blown off steam, she was sure it would be just ruble and dust.

Though it wasn't like her madness before, signs of her anger and anguish were very visible; her eyes had blackened, and her white wings disheveled and the ends, where her original madness had been stained with blood, now stained with dust, more blackened than bloodied. This madness was much more controlled, and much more... managed. Had she come across an animal that had taken roost in the house, she would gently remove them, silencing her anger for the moment to escort the animal out of the house and to safety before she would return full force.

She had returned to her home plane after years away, and what is the first thing she hears back from Sigarda? Her Father is marrying HER... the Voldaren matriarch that she had spent so much time prying from her father after they fought together

Another growl and grunt was given as she sent part of the marvel mantle hurling towards the opposite wall of the dining room when she noticed the other.

"You are the last one I wish to see at the moment, Father..." She murmured, fists clenching as she stepped to the long dining table between them, untouched by Avacyn's anger.

“I don’t need a bodyguard, thank you”

A small raise of an eyebrow was given as the Archangel looked up to the other, her arms crossed before she only shook her head. "Everyone these days needs a bodyguard." She insisted, giving a small shrug. "Whether or not you think you need one, anyone in the box seats gets one, and I happen to be stationed in the one you acquired. We have had incidents during some showings, such as people trying to recreate a ‘fake’ Lincoln assassination... and even others that have... well... fornicated within the boxes and interrupted shows, so you can thank the pranksters and the indecent for this."

It was quite clear that Avacyn wasn’t about to back down, and to even show it, she stepped aside, holding out a hand. “Please, this way Sir.” Without another word, she started off towards his private box, pausing only a moment to make sure he was following.

Sure, the other was clearly not human, but the angel had seen almost everything from traveling to so many different planes of existence. Even though this plane consisted mostly of humans and humanoid-like creatures, it was somewhat refreshing to see someone out of the norm. “What shall I call you, sir?”

As the plansewalking Archangel sat atop the roof, an old, odd sensation tingled at the back of her skull. It was much like when Sigarda was around, back home on her own plane, and much like when other angels of great power were around. The feeling made her long for her adoptive sister on Innistrad, but for now, Avacyn must learn who the angel near by is.

After spreading her wings, colorless eyes survey the land, searching for that feeling until her eyes land on the other. Without a moments hesitation, she free falls from the building, only to catch wind in her wings. She would glide overhead for a moment before flashing infront of the other, looking into their eyes with curiosity and knowledge. Her wings would be hidden once more when her feet met the ground.

"Who... Are you?" She asked, too excited to meet another like her for courtesy and manners.
