Working on making actual units out of the 2024 April Fools groups, and I'm kinda loving what I'm doing with Team Quick Break Space Cafe (or as they're called here Welcome to our Space Cafe)
They're the Nightcord equivalent, an online group with nature themed aliases (Moonlight, Raindrop, and Snowflake respectively based on their last names) who write songs meant to help others escape from the real world and relax.
They created this group to help themselves to the same thing - Honami getting away from bullying and isolation, Shizuku from the pressure and judgement from her fellow idols and agency, Mafuyu from the crushing weight of wanting to disappear and of the expectations of others, and overall simply from the pain of pretending to be those they aren't. They see their music as almost their own corner of the universe to get away from the world and be on their own.
One would expect their Sekai to be something like a futuristic world or a space station, maybe even another planet, but in fact, it's literally down-to-earth. The Nostalgic SEKAI is a cozy, small town at dusk, eerily empty yet oddly comforting. It seems unnerving at times, it's uncannily similar to the real world, but without the things that hurt them about it. No judgemental eyes watching your every move, no one scrutinizing you or picking at your identity like a marble sculptor. Just flickering fireflies and a pair of virtual singers who want to help you.
One half of Space Cafe is about finding comfort in escaping the world that's hurt you, and the other is about finding the comfort hidden within said world.
