For some reason, Jax’s alarm didn’t go off when it was supposed to. Or, it did and he just slept through it. Either way, he was late and was expecting his first client in less than a half hour and was still having to finish up the sketch that he promised them. He was in a rush, not expecting to be this late. Usually he had his coffee, the first one at the shop, drinking the hot beverage while sketching and looking out the window. Normally watching the person who tended to the flowers across the street in the flower shop. For some reason, that gave him inspiration to draw. When he didn’t have anything to work on, he pulled out his own sketchpad and did his own work. 

Just as then, Jax felt his feet getting tangled in a hose where he would normally cross by the flower shop and of course -- to make the morning go worse than he already planned, he felt himself fall into a few silky petals. Looking at the flowers that he had crushed, he cussed under his breath while trying to free himself from the hose with his feet. “Sorry. Sorry. Fucking morning. Whatever I just ruined, let me know. I don’t even know what kind of flower this is. Just -- send me a bill across the street and I’ll pay it. If I can get free from whatever trap you have me in, that is.”
