This is week 4 of quidditch practice not a week for Quidditch.
Anyways, a couple guys were using thr broomsticks as light sabers and the "Sith" (he had a yellow broom) "killed" the "Jedi" (he had a blue light saber. So one girls says she'll avenge him and starts throwing leaves at the sith. Then I step in and say "I got this" and get into position. Everyone is watching, they know I know what I'm doing. A few of them laugh and point out how my eyes narrow in "for the kill". He tries a few attacks, I block all of them effortlessly, he hits too hard on one attack so I use the momentum to swing around with a pummel strike. I stop before I get to his head of course, I don't want to actually hurt him. We disengage and the battle is over.
He then says, "lets just say I won that one". Nope, I'm not having it, "Oh really?" I get into position again. I block his attacks and accidently hit his hands. Normally there would be a crossguard to protect them!!! My plan was to just krump his sword out of the way and get close to his head again, but he moved he hands and I kind of hit them...
I asked if he was okay and he said he was, but I know getting hit on the hands hurt. However, after that little match, five people were interested in learning. So during the water breaks, I gave lessons on sword fighting. A few seemed intered in coming to the actual class, and I hope they do!
As far as actual quidditch practice goes, it was fun. I didnt do too much as beater in the first couple games, but it was fun trying. Then in hunger games, I didn't win either round we played. However, I did get a few people out by sneaking up behind them. I made sure my shadow stayed in there's and they couldn't see me! I also got one guy out who was claiming he was invincible. It was a great moment even though he got me out too. The second game, people kept more of an eye on me and several people went for me. I was the 4th one out.
However, because the other people out were those who wanted to learn sword fighting so while we waited for the game to end I just taught the basics.
Then we did drills and played a last game. I was chaser in this game and managed to help score twice! For the most part I stayed behind enemy lines (the goal post) and the other team didnt know I was there. However, there were only two times that the quaffle was passed to me and we scored. (We scored more than that but this post is about me so...)
Both times when I was passed the quaffle I just dodged a bludger and I foubd myself on the ground. Others were trying to get the quaffle and I was closest to the hoop. I toss it in, the keeper defended, my team mate caught and tossed it in. We scored!! This basically happened twice, except on the second time there were 3 other people on the ground with me and we knocked over a hoop. Fun times.
And the team is hosting a Yule Ball on Friday, I've volunteered to help out even though I'm not big on dancing. It will also be my first college party if I go. There will also be a costume contest but my only costume is Herminone in her school uniform. I mean, I have half of a death eater costume (I say half because I only have a mask and a cloak), but I dont think that would be good attire for the dance... So I need to figure out something for that, and I have no idea if my mom will even let me go. She said she would think about it, so maybe? If I end up going I'll definitely post about it!
