the very hungry caterpillar, all the captain underpants books, uhmmmm that bookabou the kid who loses his body parts? (i can’t remember the name), there was this little story book i had and i remember one of the stories had talking rocks in it or something it was super cute,

I want to wish you all the best in your new life in London! Maybe someday you'll see the Queen :D I've spent time abroad as well, and while it is terrifying & lonely at first, you'll fall in love with the city and be making fun of clueless tourists before you know it. Try local food, go to museums, walk around & get familiar with your surroundings. Consider taking a class, or joining a club or a faith community, to try & meet people. The JSE community on Tumblr is rooting for you!

Ah this has got to be one of the sweetest messages I’ve received! Thank you love! I will try to be a bit proactive as you suggested :) I’ve been out to have a haircut and check out Oxford St already! I want to head back to the British Museum (the love of my life) tomorrow too!

Just a word about the JSE community while I’m at it; I swear, the JSE community has been astonishing - everyone has been overwhelmingly supportive. I could not have dreamed up a better bunch of people to help me out. Everyone has made me feel so much more comfortable with the whole concept of picking up my life and placing it on the other side of the world. I’ve had other people’s stories of moving, suggestions (like yours) of things I can do to meet people and make friends, and lots and *lots* of distracting chats.If this isn’t the sign of a community that cares about its members, no matter where they live or who they are, then I will eat my wacom. Thank you @quiet-viola and thank you to everyone else who has sent me a message as well. I would have been so so much more stressed and messed up without you guys.
