Pairing: Peter Quill x Reader
Synopsis: Peter Quill meets his father, and his fathers ‘pet’. She and Peter have an instant attraction towards each other and wants to help him. (That’s a terrible summary, and I apologize)
Warnings: Some unwanted physical attention
Mantis, Ego, and you were on a ship following an orange and blue ship called the Milano. According to Ego, his long lost son is on the Milano. One of his sons at least. You follow the damaged ship onto the closest planet. Ego is practically glowing in excitement.
“After all these years, I’ve found you,” Ego exclaims to his son when you all exit the ship.
“Who the hell are you?” the son asks. You almost chance a look at him, but decide it isn’t worth the punishment later. So you stand with your back straight, head down, and hands clasped behind your back.
“I figured my rugged good looks would make that obvious. My name's Ego. And I'm your Dad, Peter,” Ego smiles. “He’s quite attractive isn’t he (Y/N)?”
You finally look up to Peter Quill, the man Ego hasn’t stopped talking about since it was said that Peter held an infinity stone. Not that Ego would explain what those stones were to you, or what the significance of holding one was.
Your lips part slightly at the sight of the man in front of you. He’s wearing a tight grey shirt, black tactical pants, and he’s holding a gun in each hand. His strawberry blonde hair is is styled upwards, and his strange pointy sideburns, mustache, and beard are attractive on him.
“He obviously gets his attractiveness from you,” you finally spit out to Ego. You try to pretend your voice isn’t strained from staring at this Peter guy.
“That’s a lovely answer my pet,” Ego smirks, and smacks you on the butt. You gasp and instantly tense up at his touch, you can only hold him off for so long. “I’m sure you have questions for me,” Ego smiles at Peter and starts to setup a fire to make dinner.
The next morning Peter, the green girl Gamora, and the shirtless man Drax join you guys on Ego’s ship. Peter added a long red ravager jacket and a red scarf to his outfit, and he somehow managed to be more attractive than last night.
You go and help Ego prepare for sleep while Mantis and the Guardians sit on the couches. “You look ravishing today,” Ego smile at you.
“Why thank you,” you use a high pitched voice and force a smile. As Ego lays on the bed, he reaches an arm around you and grabs your butt again. “What are you doing?” you ask carefully.
“Taking what’s mine,” he smirks and pulls you into a kiss. His tongue forces your mouth open and explores it. He tries to pull you on top of him, but you pull away instead.
“Not while your son and his friends are on the ship,” you laugh nervously. You kiss his cheek before heading towards the door. “Try and get some sleep, I’ll find Mantis and send her in.”
“Thank you my pet,” he smiles at you before you close the door behind you. You let out a shaky sigh and head to the seating area.
“You feel love,” Mantis’s misty voice grows louder as you get closer to the group. You can see that she’s touching Peter and now pointing at Gamora. “It’s a sexual love, for her.”
“I feel a sexual love for almost every woman,” Peter shrugs.
“Mantis, Ego needs you,” you say quietly, feeling bad for interrupting.
“It’s the pet,” Drax laughs light heartedly.
“Please don’t call me that,” you flinch. “I’m not a pet.” Peter smacks Drax’s arm as you turn back to Mantis.
You and Mantis clasp arms, and she almost recoils at how strong your emotions are.
“What does she feel?” Drax asks Mantis.
“I’m not sure if-” Mantis starts to say nervously before you cut her off.
“It's fine Mantis, you can tell them,” you give a soft smile.
“She feels sadness, anger, and much disgust,” Mantis says, her eyes hold sadness for you. “I can also make people feel things. I use it to help Ego sleep, and to help (Y/N).”
“Help her how?” Peter asks.
“Calm,” Mantis says. Your body relaxes and you slump into the seat next to you. Mantis lets go of your arm and heads to where Ego is sleeping.
“How come you look like Quill?” Drax asks. “Is Ego your father too?”
“No. But Peter is half terrin and I’m full terrin,” you smile at Drax. “Is that a walkman?” you ask Peter as your face lights up. You haven’t seen one since you were on Earth.
“Yeah,” his eyebrows furrow and he fights back a smile.
“How long have you been here?” Gamora asks.
“Oh, um,” you stutter. “What year is it?” you twiddle your thumbs and look at the ground embarrassed.
“2017,” Peter looks concerned. Your mouth falls open slightly as you stare at him in shock.
“About sixteen years,” you finally regain your composure. “I’ve been in Ego’s ‘care’ since I was fifteen.” You fiddle with the hem of your white dress. White for purity, Ego has made it clear that he wants to be the one that takes that away from you.
“Would you want to take a walk around the ship?” Peter asks you.
“I don’t know if I should,” you glance up at him. “Ego might wake up and get upset if I’m not there.”
“He should be out until we get back,” Mantis says from behind you.
“Then a walk sounds great,” you shyly smile at Peter before looking back to the ground.
For a while the two of you walk around in silence, before he finally speaks up. “What does my father have you do?”
“I do whatever Ego wants me to,” you stare intently at your white slippers as you continue the walk.
“Have you to ever, ya know, done stuff?” Peter quits walking and stares at you.
“No!” you defend yourself, before your voice softens to a whisper. “Ego wants that, but I’ve been avoiding it for years. At first he agreed that I was too young, but now that I’m out of my teens- and apparently twenties- he’s trying harder.”
“Can’t you leave?” he asks quietly, his hand gently grabbing yours. You inhale at the feeling of his skin on yours.
“I’m afraid not. My parents sold me to him, so he owns me. I have no freewill to leave,” you squeeze his hand gently.
“What does Ego want with me?” he quickly changes the subject after he sees the sadness in your eyes.
“If you think being nice to me and taking a walk will make me tell you what’s going on, you’re wrong,” Peter’s face falls. “If I knew I would tell you, but Ego tells me nothing.”
“That’s not why I’m being nice to you, I was just curious,” Peter takes a step closer.
“Please be careful Peter,” you squeeze his hand tighter as your eyes plead with him. “I may not know what’s going on but I do have a hunch. I think it has something to do with your heritage. He’s had other children of his come, but I’ve never met them. They always leave soon after they arrive. Ego kept pushing me to have a child with him, but when he heard of you he stopped. You seem really nice, I don’t want you getting hurt.”
“Thank you (Y/N),” he pulls you into a hug. It’s as if Mantis touched you again, a sense of calm rushes over your body. You melt into his arms and hug him back.
Back on Ego’s planet form, you walk through the halls on your way to find Ego. You hear Gamora and Peter yelling at each other. Gamora storms out of the room and right past you. You carefully walk into the room and Peter sits on a couch with his head in his hands. The walkman is playing Bring it home to me through homemade speakers.
“Are you okay?” you ask him. He looks up from his hands shocked to see you in front of him.
“Dance with me?” he stands and grabs your hand. He pulls you close and you laugh as he spins you around the room. “I love your laugh.” he whispers.
“I haven’t danced since I was in high school, not since my freshman year homecoming.”
“Well everyone’s missing out then,” Peter smiles.
“You alright, son? I saw your girl stomp off earlier in quite a huff.” Ego enters the room. “Oh (Y/N), I didn’t know you were here,” he adds slowly.
“I saw Gamora leave angrily, so I thought I would check on Peter,” you say carefully. “He seemed sad so we started dancing to cheer him up.” Peter studies the side of your face as you talk to Ego.
“How very nice of you, my pet,” Ego shoves his ownership of you in your face. Brandy you're a fine girl starts playing through the walkman.
“I’ll leave you two to it,” you lightly stand up, the white dress billowing behind you.
“Wait for me in the main room,” Ego says as you walk out the door.
You walk into the room that had all of the weird white eggs with the memories in them earlier. You kneel down and put your hands in your lap. You wait, and finally Ego and Peter walk through the door. Ego puts Peter into some sort of trance as he tells him about his plan.
You’re shocked when Peter regains enough of his consciousness to question about his friends and mom. You gasp as you find out that ego killed Peter’s mom.
Peter shoots at Ego and his human figure has giant holes in it from where he was hurt. Ego gets angry and puts a tentacle of his power right through Peter’s heart. “Peter!” you scream in agony when you see this. The guardians crash through the side of the building, crushing Ego’s human form and saving Peter.
One of Ego’s tentacles reaches up through the ground and pulls you to the caverns below the surface. The tentacle drops you and you face-plant the ground as Mantis makes Ego sleep. Laser beams break into the surface and Ego wakes as the planet starts to crumble. Ego conjures up tentacle and it wraps around your throat. “I know you’ve taken a liking to my pet here.” he says to Peter as he grips your throat tighter, and you gasp for air. “Now say goodbye to her.” He throws you into the abyss and you scream into nothingness as you fall. You suddenly stop when the air is knocked out of you. You land on the same rock as Gamora and her sister Nebula.
“(Y/N)! No!” Peter screams.
Gamora and Nebula help you climb the rocks with them, up to safety. On the way up you get crushed by rocks, cutting into your skin and tearing your dress. You’re preparing for death to overcome you, for the millionth time in just a few moments. The rocks suddenly retreat and the sisters help you to the Milano.
You sit silently and wait to see who makes it, and who doesn’t. You’re pounds and you can hear the blood pulsing in your ears, as you wait to see if Peter is alive. You may have just met him, but you’re heart cracks a little as you have to leave him behind.
“Guys!” you exclaim, when you see Peter floating in space a while later. Although he had a suit on it looks like he passed out holding Yondu, at least that’s what you believe his name is. Drax and Gamora leave the ship to retrieve the two. When they reenter, they lay Peter on a metal table and you immediately start checking his injuries.
“If Ego was injured (Y/N) would have to look him over,” Mantis says as Rocket looks like he’s about to stop you. “Let’s give her some space.”
Reluctantly the guardians leave you two be, he has luckily has no major injuries. You smile at how peaceful he looks. As you recheck his arm for the third time, he starts to stir.
“Am I in heaven?” he groggily asks.
“Now why on earth would you be there?” you use a terrin expression.
“Because you’re here,” he lightly strokes your cheek. You laugh slightly before grabbing his hand and putting it back by his side.
“If this was an afterlife I don’t think I would be bruised, cut, or in a ripped dress,” you smile at him.
“I saw you die,” his eyebrows furrow.
“I landed on a rock, Gamora and Nebula helped me onto the ship,” you bite back another smile. “But I thought you died.”
“Well I obviously didn’t,” he smiles and sits up.
“How do you feel?” you ask, worried that he may have hurt his head.
“I feel fine, physically,” he looks at your still joined hands.
“I’m so sorry Peter,” you let go of his hand to pull him into a hug. He sighs into your shoulder and pulls you closer.
“I think there are some extra clothes I could let you borrow,” he changes the subject as he pulls away.
“That would be great,” you smile. He disappears into what you assume as his room, and comes out a few moments later with a pile of red.
“Here ya go, you can go change in my room,” he tosses the clothes at you.
“Are those pants?” you gasp.
“Yeah,” he raises his eyebrows.
“Ego only let me wear dresses,” you fiddle with the red cloth in your hands.
“Well you don’t have to worry about him anymore,” he gently grabs your fidgeting hand. You smile at him before walking to his room to change.
You stare at the red one sleeved vest, tight red pants, and black combat boots. You suddenly become very aware of your curves, and become self-conscious. You take a deep breath before walking out of the room and back to Peter.
“How do I look?” You shyly bite your lip and turn in a circle. You can swear you heard a small groan come from Peter.
“You look amazing,” he smiles at you.
“Thank you,” you feel a blush creep up your cheeks.
“Where do you want to go?” Peter asks. “We can take you back to terra if you want.”
“I don’t know if I want to go back there,” you admit softly. “There’s nothing there for me. I have nowhere that I belong.”
“You belong on this ship,” he says so quietly you almost don’t hear him. Maybe that was the point, but you’re glad you did.
“I do?” you ask hopefully.
“Yeah, you do,” he says confidently this time.Peter walks up to you until your noses are mere inches apart.
“Can I?” he asks as his eye flick down to your lips.
“Please,” you mumble. His lips are instantly on yours, and the feeling is indescribable. He wraps an arm around your waist as the other grabs the back of your neck to keep you close. Your one arm snakes around him and presses into his back while the other caresses his face. You pull apart smiling and out of breath, your fingers gently run over his sideburns.
“We’re so doing that more often,” he murmurs as he leans into your touch. You couldn’t help but laugh, this was the first time you had ever felt like you belonged somewhere.
