Higher Evolution

"Don't think that." Are the words we say,

Internally, to keep bad thoughts away.

Cause, they're improper to this day and age,

Because we're so "civilised" in many ways.

But truth be told, we're really not.

We're just animals, full stop.

"Our intelligence separates us from them"

So does, our immorality toward fellow men.

So does, our treatment of women,

So does, our ability to commit sin.

Technology, originally meant to aid,

Is utilised for entertainment instead.

Everyday we claim to fight for world solutions,

As we're burning fossil fuels, in our commuting,

In hundreds of ways we poison the earth with our pollution.

Looking up to space like, "Welcome to Higher Evolution"

Adam

A tale is told as old as time,

In it a monster runs amok.

An embodiment of design,

Whose soul purpose is havoc.

It waits patiently, biding it's time,

Slowly you're lured in.

It takes your innocence and mind,

It takes your everything.

Without any satisfaction,

It, continues to feed.

Consuming land, life and fear,

All in the name of greed.
