Mostly healthy! He has Dominic to cook for him I mean! But even before that he was pretty good about food, though he has a fondness for coffee (black like his men) and I can see him loving sour sweets? Cannot eat spicy food very well at first, but grows fond of it with training :p

Hmmm. Hmmmmm. Biggest: Write his own book on translating old text and runes. ‘Smallest’: Get over fear of small rooms and locked doors.

Definitely coffee. Is also fond of fruity cocktails with amusing names.

Gods yes this is Quinn we’re talking about! Language is is p a s s i o n and he will fite anyone who puts down academia. (Though he does understand it’s not for everyone and is surprisingly patient)

Currently? Holding on to his single minded hatred of Dominic for the five years of school they had together. I mean, that dodgeball to the face did hurt, but....

Quinn would def try to put on a strong face, try to be the rock everyone needs but he’d just bottle it up and end up punching Nathan in the face then crying about it. Nathan takes it very well.

Safe Loved Warm Joy. Home is someplace he can be himself, be happy, and have his loved ones.

What makes them feel guilty?

Forgetting things, like meeting times or tasks (NAMES), being unable to force himself to be interested in stuff people are talking about, getting sick and I think he might have dissociation problems? He’ll dissociate, not hear something or notice someones actions, and will feel stupidly guilty about it when he comes back.

What recharges them when they’re feeling drained?

Curling up by their shitty spaceheater with a good book and boyfriend cuddles. No talking, no interacting, just cuddles, soft tv/radio noise and reading.

Hobbies?

Reading, translating old text, speaking dead languages while his boyfriend’s around, talking Nathan out of doing stupid shit (or not talking Nathan out of doing stupid shit, and laughing about it later), trying to make new spells with runes he discovers. I can see him being really good at making cocktails for some reason????

Superstitions or views on the occult?

Well considering that he’s a Light Mage (Runic)? He definitely believes in magic huehue. Still not sure just what’s superstition and what’s fact in their world though? He’s probably a bit superstitios anyway because a lot of the language things he’d stdy would mention like. idk Olde Gods and shit?

How do they express love?

Quinn expresses love differently depending on the situation haha. In private, he likes contact and gentle kisses and whispered affections, while in public he’s a bit more reserved? But gods help you if you refuse to hold his hand you will be on the couch for at least a week (Take notes Dominic!)

For a while I assumed QT didn’t exist. The girl with iridescent acrylics, a plastic collared hologram dress, and airbrushed skin against a perfect Klein Blue backdrop felt as metallic and filled with fizz as the can of DRINKQT she held in her unusually long hand-model-worthy fingers. And digital technology is certainly advanced enough for someone to grow a freakishly beautiful dream girl out of pixels, so why even bother trying to find a model when you can build one? But QT is real. Her name is Hayden Dunham, and yes, she looks exactly the same in real life.

Nothing could be more disarming in 2015 than realizing someone you thought was photoshopped is actually real, but there she was, with her perfectly cropped bangs, not made in a factory in China but actually grown on her head. She gives real hugs, not the I-don’t-quite-exist type, and once you get comfortable enough to realize she won’t spontaneously transform into a machine gun and rain bullets on the crowd, you’ll see she’s shockingly kind and genuine for someone who has built their career on being completely synthetic. Hayden Dunham is really good at what she does, so why are people so quick to dismiss her art?

The paradox of the feminine is that if it’s performed too well i.e. drag, Kardashianism, Barbie; it tends to feel uncanny and completely devoid of meaning. If it leans too close to the masculine, it is considered unfeminine. Masculinity does not face this same crisis of polarities. In its most extreme form, masculinity is worshipped, and increasingly, its absence is considered self-affirming, like when a dude wears lipstick because he’s just that confident. Hyperfemininity is closely tied with consumerism and thus considered superficial. A woman who invests her money in make-up and clothing, and furthermore, time on her appearance, is granted the uniquely gendered word “vapid.” Rather than fight this cultural stigma of femininity, Hayden Dunham appropriates it, packages it, and sells it back to the people who created it in the first place. It’s not just about “Hey QT,” her unpoppable gum bubble clubgasm one-hit-wonder. She built a brand out of one cliché love song and her face on an album cover, and now she’s about to mass-distribute cans of soda around the world. Love her or hate her, she’s doing more than you, and she looks hot doing it. Her entire practice seems to declare “you break it, you buy it,” to a culture that likes to think it shattered feminism. Out of the void of the idea of authentic womanhood emerges this pop kraken, her skin glowing like fluorescent light. It’s not clear what her motives are, but there’s a little “buy” button that follows her every move. She’s as real as you want her to be, just like her soda brand which has been frequently and incorrectly deemed fake. She’s a master of commodity feminism, self-objectifying before she’s objectified by everyone else. You can leave her on the shelf among the other mass-produced commodities, or pop QT open and take a sip. She already knows you’ll like her.
