[Story] Edge Brigade in Silvermoon
The Spire, Silvermoon City, Quel'thalas
The wee morning hours after the attack.
——
Ceroluthrel waited patiently on the Silvermoon side of the portal for the others to arrive. He lounged against one side of the doorway to the arrival room and studied a map of Quel'thalas.
Rialius Sunbrand, older, white haired and worried-looking stepped out of the portal and quickly moved to Ceroluthrel's side, he let out an uneasy rasp.
Quinthal, the ginger Illidari, appeared after Rialius, his black leather hat hung low upon his brow, covering his non-existent eyes, with his horns sticking through holes he'd made in it. This Illidari looked ridiculous with his stupid hat.
Xerathrin, Quin's blonde Illidari partner in crime, stumbled out of the portal and crashed into Quin, almost knocking him over in the process before he steadied himself.
Rialius turned to Ceroluthrel, "Shall we away?"
Ceroluthrel replied in a low tone, "Yes. Where should we go first? We are here at the Spire, after all, we can simply inquire of this Inquisitor." He tilted his head, "Or I can try raising someone on the comm."
Rialius looked towards the door, "I don't know."
Another figure exited the portal, a ginger elf kissed in freckles, with his long red hair tied in a loose tail, which draped upon his left shoulder. He carried a large blade in a sling on his back. He looked like a younger version of Zandrae, with an innocent smile, but his eyes were blue and his body lacked warmth beneath his armor, this was Ollie the living impaired little brother.
The Snowdawn Twins, tall, white haired, older men, also Death Knights, stepped out of the portal after Ollie.
Kyverin, or Kye, rested his eyes on Rialius, then at his small group of Illidari, and then gave a nod, "Cousin." Talverin stood back and observed.
Ceroluthrel nodded to Ollie. "We heard. Where do we go?" The Illidari flipped on his com and spoke into it quietly, "Anyone awake?"
Ollie looked to Ceroluthrel, "Um. Maybe there is someone on scene who can tell us who to contact..."
Ceroluthrel looks to Rialius. "Home, then, and Sunwell help those responsible."
Rialius gave Ceroluthrel a firm nod and slipped from the building out towards the Pyreanor.
——
Four Demon Hunters and three Death Knights meandered through Silvermoon together towards 'home,' a trip that included many funny looks and death glares from other elves.
Ceroluthrel ignored the death glares as his felsaber padded down the street. Those same that glared would beg his attention if the Legion were to invade the City. His expression he kept neutral, but he had his Sight turned up to eleven.
Rialius rode side by side with Ceroluthrel, a sense of dread ached over his body, the type of dread he hadn't felt since the fall of Quel'thalas.
The Death Knights followed Ceroluthrel and Rialius, and Xera and Quinn headed up the rear.
Ceroluthrel stiffened at the sight of the Inquisitorial Guard outside his home. He looked down, took a deep breath, and then rode forward to one of the sentries. "Ceroluthrel Phoenixheart, Rialius Sunbrand, Oliver Pyreanor, and other residents answering a distress call from home." His voice was steady, and he did not dismount from his saber. He was ready to give her the silent command that the sentry was her breakfast if they made a move against the group.
Ollie glanced at the men, "Can you tell us the status of my family?"
Rialius rubbed the back of his head, "I heard my baby brother's dead. I'm here to verify it and pay my respects."
The sentries looked between the odd collection of freak-elves, then looked to the other sentry, and then made a really confused noise. He had no idea what to say in response so he gave the traditional guard-type response to every problem ever, "Papers?"
Ceroluthrel half-growled and handed the guard his identity papers. The papers showed the Pyreanor as his address, and listed Rialius as his husband.
Ollie reached down beneath his chest piece and offered the man a set of ID tags with the name Oliver Pyreanor on it, "Here."
One of the sentries looked at the paperwork and the tag, "Alright. So they've been moved to an undisclosed location. We can have you escorted there, but we can't tell you where it is."
Ceroluthrel nodded. "Okay."
While the others talked with the guards, one of the Snowdawn Twins, Kyverin, noticed a figure crouched on a ledge nearby, a woman in dark mail and leathers in a hooded cowl, a bow on her back. Kye had noticed her dozens of times before, her presence here and now as alarming, was she one of the attackers, watching them? He approached her, "Why are you here?"
The woman's hood obscured her glowing red eyes and most of her face. Only her chin and lips were visible. Her face was pale and had lost much of her skin color in death. She was a dark ranger. The woman gave no spoken response, simply a smirk at the Death Knight.
Kye stared at her for a moment, at her hauntingly familiar smile. Without a word, he knew who she was and exactly why she was there, he spoke again, "The daughters live, the son is missing but suspected alive. We'll find him, I promise."
The woman leapt up onto another ledge and fled the scene via rooftop and Kye joined the rest of the group.

The Inquisitor's Infirmary, Undisclosed Location in the Spire, Silvermoon City, Quel'thalas.
——
Ceroluthrel led the way into the infirmary, following the sentry, and then a Spire guard. He spotted Tyan sitting intently by one of the beds, while one of Tyan's priestlings went from patient to patient, checking vital signs, and casting healing spells.
Tyan glanced down at Miastal with an even deeper than usual frown on his face.
Rialius moved over to Miastal's bed and stood opposite Tyan, "How's he doing?"
Ollie moved to the bed between his two sisters and sat himself down on a stool.
Quin and Xera sat outside in the hall and cracked jokes.
Ceroluthrel took up a position against the wall, watching and waiting.
Talverin leaned against a wall nearby Miastal, "So what happened? Who did this? Can we kill them?"
Alianesh looked up at the Illidari and the Ebon Blade as they walked in. He had moved to Youls as Ollie sat between Youls and Leiah, and nodded politely to them as he closed his eyes and entered a healing trance, working to accelerate their recovery.
Tyan grunted, "Masked attackers came in, and apparently they shot Dani, and then they attacked the rest of us when we came to defend, and they apparently took prisoners."
Alianesh moves to Miastal and Dalaen, his brow furrowed in concentration as he extends his healing ability once again over the two elves.
Ceroluthrel watches closely, thinking. "I suppose the Inquisition is working on any enemy survivors."
Tyan grunted, "Yes. They resurrected everyone. Including the enemy. Kemnebi got me out. I don't know where that one has gotten off to.
Ceroluthrel nodded and folded his arms. "We will know soon, then."
