Im 16 and living at home so i don't have much control over the food that we buy, i have a 7 year old brother so there is always things like biscuits and chips etc for him! Do you have any tips or good recipe links for someone in my position? Maybe with basic ingredients or like lunch ideas for school? This is a lot to ask so algood if you have no idea hahah, but yeah just wondering xx
When I lived at home with my whole family, I was in a similar situation. I became a vegetarian at like 16, so my diet was completely different from everyone else living in my house. I honestly started preparing my own food and having food at the house that was just for me. It’s hard because there is a bunch of junk food around you that’s why it’s easier when you can completely control what is bought. I suggest stay away from your brothers food! Food prep is a great thing for school and for life! Some meal suggestions … salads, wraps (with either lettuce or whole grain or another lighter healthier wrap versus the super-fatty ones), lots of fruit and vegetables. Always keep in mind the portions that you are eating. And make sure you get protein in some form to keep you alert for school. When I was in school, I would have like fruit and vegetables for lunch and then at some other point during the day I would have like a protein bar of some kind. So that’s another good option!
Have you ever tried something like skinnymetea? Or any of those tea detox type things, apparently they're good for bloating, water-weight loss and like clearer skin but i fear that its not as good for you as it seems. You can get ones without laxitives but yeah, im just not sure that its the best option for my body! Thanks in advance for your input xxx
I always recommend instead of trying a sort of pill, tea, food, program, whatever … instead just change your diet. There are plenty of foods that help prevent bloating and give you clear skin. Most things like what you are talking about either don’t really work or they just work short term, you might lose some water weight and feel less bloated but once you start eating normally again you are just going to go back to how you felt and looked before the detox. Instead look into changing your diet.
Lentils, beans, greens, lemon, certain spices like rosemary, celery, watermelon… those are just a few that prevent bloat :)
whats the link for your 'ezra is A theory' from like a year ago? xxx
