au general info
the year is 2281. of course, because that is fallout: new vegas’s year of occurrence.
the focal point of this au is elder maxson in new vegas, however, he has also been spotted in fallout 76, and working against his alternate in fallout 4.
maxson has suffered more than a head injury. upon waking up from a nap on the prydwen, he finds himself in doc mitchell’s house. not only is he a long way from the commonwealth, he also cannot understand anything being said to him ever (everyone speaks german except him)
other characters include beloved individuals such as himbo danse, raul tejada (an unexpected companion in maxson’s time of need), arcade gannon, boone, rabe, rainclaw (it’s a love/hate relationship), and many others, probably. he can understand ghouls perfectly even though they all hate him. it seems that every enemy of the brotherhood can be understood, as if this is all some ironic hell serving as maxson’s punishment for falling down a the last step of a staircase as everyone pointed and laughed at him, giving him the nickname “stair boy.”
throughout his travels he finds love, ambition, but most importantly, he finds himself (and some other english speakers).
