I'm not going to give up on this site. I really don't want to. I hope and pray that our words and feedback can do SOMETHING to lighten the changes at LEAST However, if it really comes down to the next best site, I'm on Bluesky, which feels like my last resort. I still have an Instagram and Twitter but I try to minimize my posts on there because of all the AI and fucked up Algorithm If you are a minor viewing this post I'm sorry but my BlueSky will/may Contain NSFW content and would prefer if you refrained from following. The curse of having so many OCs is never knowing which one to draw and post here. I'll be drawing a bunch of them- and then I never post them cause Im sure only a certain 20% of people are actually interested in them

Still alive just busy

Also still- battling with the demons in my head telling me that I NEED to post this and that otherwise NO ONE CARES! Which isn't true. I know some of y'all like what I post no matter what.

Still a struggle for me, because I know people like my fanart but I'm not much of a fanart person.

Some people like my fat old men and emo twank OCs but I can't get around to draw them- and the cycle dreadfully continues round and round

It's very obnoxious.

I know I just need to fight the algorithm and toss a fish or two innthere now ans again to bring back the starving masses. But not every fish is equal.

I'm very tired.

The problem with having as many characters as I do is that when you draw them and post them, the chances are people here Aren't going to see them again because by the time I'm drawing again i'm hyperfixated on another character or making a new one ;-;

Since I posted something of the like on my Bluesky I'm also gonna put it here.

As much as I love people liking and following for the fanart I make, I'm always very grateful for the few people who always come to like and reblog my original content.

I don't have a massive following because I don't draw fanart frequently- which unfortunately is how most platforms are built now. It's an environment where anything tied with any kind of trendinf media gets a big red circles while people who draw Original content get dumped on.

Its one of the reasons actually that I love Art Fight, because you're able to promote yourself and your stories through giving to other people, and being ablw to also see the incredble things that other artists can make and create. You make friends with people of similar interests with out having to rely on what the algorithm feeds you.

Generally, I want to believe all that you give will come back around someday. Lifes been... Really hard for me, mentally and emotionally- and even now it's rocky. I want to believe the words I say and things I see. One day my love for people's art and appreciation for anyone's media interest, Fanart, original content, or just art in general, will come back to help me.

I can't express how lucky I am to have friends to help me realize and reassure me that you don't need the whole world to see you. You need to see yourself and support yourself, and given a little support to one person, even just a little, can mean a lot. More than you might think.

Anyway- that's just my two cents....

I'm debating on if it would be better to like- make a seperate blog where people can interact with my OCs or simply do it here.

I still remember the haydays of tumblr where anyone could spark up a blog for their characters and essentially have people interacting with each other's OCs freely.

It's harder and harder to find those places on the internet nowadays. Is tumblr not the best place anymore? I know for a fact Twitter/Bluesky aren't anybetter unless your OCs are somehow related to whatever fandom is bumpin most rn.
