Note: Though Love★Com is comprised of 17 volumes, this review will only cover all the volumes up to Volume 16. This is because Volume 17 can be classified as a “bonus story” and does not directly relate to the main story line. So, for all intents and purposes, I will not be including Volume 17 in this review. But should I ever get around to reading it, it will likely get its own review.

Review

My first completed manga series, I thought Love★Com was in an overall sense fairly decent. However, I will disclose that while I felt that the series was pretty strong in the beginning, it began to drag on in later volumes, especially after the main couple finally got together. I acknowledge that this is something that plagues a lot of shoujo manga in general, but I don't find that fact impacts my opinion very much.

I thought Love★Com would have benefited from being more streamlined. I also found that the volumes/chapters which worked the best were the ones that focused on the main couple (except for one particular arc, but that is just my personal opinion). Not that I wasn't necessarily uninterested in the other characters, but I found their arcs to not be that particularly exciting, which is pretty disappointing because I thought those characters deserved better stories.

Aside from those points, I thought that Love★Com was adorable, funny, and very light-hearted. I think a part of me will miss reading the antics of "All Hanshin-Kyojin" Koizumi and Otani. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys comedy, odd couples, and high school romance.

JAPANESE MOVIES QUICK REVIEW/NOTES

I have a lot of time so I felt like doing this lol anyway this are all my opinions, we all have different opinions so don’t take this too seriously. I was doing this alphabetically before but screw that I’m doing this randomly and still 4 movies per post and I’m using the Japanese original title for the movies.

Here we go~

OBORERU KNIFE  |  RATING: 9.5/10

- Not your typical shoujo. I suggest to read the manga before watching to understand the flow of the story better. - SudaxNana chemistry is off the roof - Intriguing                                                                                                                - As the title says “drowning” you’ll drown with just the intensity of how the leads stare at each other. - I've read the manga and I think they did a good job for this considering that the manga had a quite huge time skip in the ending

OOKAMI SHOUJO OTO KURO OUJI  |  RATING: 8.5/10

- Do-S Kento everyone - Cute, tho at some parts the lead guy is annoying  - Decent live action adaptation

PARADISE KISS  |  RATING: 10/10

- Great cast - I actually love it that they changed the ending. The ending on the manga is quite heart breaking, but its how Ai Yazawa does her works that makes her special. - Yui for the ost <3

RABU KON  |  RATING: 8.5/10

- Cute, a lot of things in this movie is just so cute - Rom-com - Really fun to watch
