"They are going to hate me," he panicked as he couldn’t find his lucky blue tie.

"No they won’t," you argued, putting your second earring in. His face was bright red, frustration and nervousness prevalent. "Honey, calm down please," you said quietly, grabbing his arm. His shirt was half buttoned and his shoes were untied. 

He finally looked you in the eye, his eyes filled with fear. “Babe, I’m meeting the most important people in your life and you want me to be calm?”

"They’ll love you because I love you. Now please, fix your shirt and tie your shoes and I will help you find your tie." You kissed him lightly, calming him slightly. He sat on the bed, tying his shoes and re-buttoning his shirt.

It took a while, but you finally found his favorite tie, which eased his mind even more. “Thank you,” he said with a kiss, his face back to its normal shade.

"Any time. Now, let’s go meet my parents so they know why I love you so much!"
