Intermission and I am so emotional. When J Harrison Ghee sang Not My Fathers Son I friggin cried. There’s so much fun and excitement in this show that song just hits hard out of nowhere. Brendon is blowing my mind and I feel this weird sense of pride??? I remember when he was just a goof ball teen in an emo band wearing guyliner and top hats. Fucking incredible. And the girl playing Lauren!?! So good!!! The dancing! The costumes! THE CONVEYER BELT SEQUENCE. I am so fucking happy I cannot deal. I always get emotional seeing live shows, especially on Broadway, but this is connected to So Many other things that it’s overwhelming. New York is mine again and I couldn’t be happier. #RachelsFirstShenanigans
