Man listen, one of the primary reasons I'm such a Hip-Hop head and have been for also 4 decades is @officialcolbycolb his groundbreaking Hip-Hop radio show Radio Active was everything Dope for a Hip-Hop junkie like me in Philly. Before there was social media, streaming services, file sharing and smartphones there was Colby, Ran and Kev curating and cultivating the culture with the care of proud fathers. So when we started The Tissue In The Tape Podcast it was with that same type of mentality, even the name of the show was an ode to our efforts to record mix shows such Radio Active, The Wake Up Show, Boodah Brothas, Stretch and Bob, etc. Then Colby was gracious enough to be a guest in our infancy and share his professional and personal life in a 90 minute interview that felt like a chat with the cool old head. He then revealed his character further by redoing the interview on a road trip with the same energy and passion after a software error failed to save the first. I believe he did it because he sensed how much it meant to me to document that moment. I'll never forget it and will always appreciate it. So in 2017 the OG having a Hip-Hop podcast sharing some of that same passion from Radio Active in the 90s and that same honesty and character he displayed on my show is fitting and sorely needed. Big Bro I'm sure you've forgot more than I'll ever know in terms of producing a show but if there is anything I can do, I'm here, DM me, call or text, my number is still the same. - @phillmatic365 of the @tissueinthetape Podcast ___________________🔥🔥🎙🔥🔥____________________ #colbycolb #radiofacts #jayz #444 #radiofreestyle #radioactive #215 #reasonabledoubt #philly #PhiladelphiaBuildsCharacter #PhillyWinsAgain
