he’s a rite of passage for almost every radcliffe student. there’s a rumor that he never leaves campus because he has no need to eat or sleep. someone once claimed they saw him drinking blood from the neck of a freshman who asked him a personal question during a lecture. he has the energy of a vampire, with a glare that could send you reeling, but if you make him smile, you’re in his good graces forever as he tries to recruit you to at least pick up an english minor. all english majors earn his trust almost instantly. one wrong move though, and you’ll wish you never laid eyes on him.

professor kalua, an english teacher by trade, an eccentric novelist by hobby, and if you haven’t sat through a lecture where he meticulously explains the plot of his latest novel, then did you really attend freshman english seminar? his favorite classes to teach are the english one courses for all the newbies starting their college careers (or making a new start for themselves). he teaches a handful of english two courses each year, and the elusive and sought after english capstone course once every fall. his courses are notorious for their unique stature as he enjoys conversation over everything else. as most students usually have him for at least one class, if not two, his eccentricities just become a larger discussion among the campus. everybody at least knows of him, including how invested he gets into costumes to really bring out time periods in novels.

The scariest person on the Radcliffe grounds is four and a half feet tall. 

Her name’s Angelica Lassonde (don’t you dare try a nickname) and if you’ve bought a paper, assignment or study notes on campus, you’ve bought them from her. No one’s really sure what her major is; she was in the paper as being the youngest student in the history of the school, and now she’s widely known as the child genius who- while not yet hitting her growth spurt- is cleaning up on the academic misconduct scene. She isn’t like most other thirteen-year-olds either; Angelica has strict rules. Business hours are from between 3 and 7 PM, no late requests accepted. Cash is preferred- easier than explaining to her parents the hundreds she rakes in every week for “tutoring”. All lab reports are guaranteed A’s, all essays are Turnitin safe, and her prices are steep, but that’s what you get when the market’s basically entirely in her control. No one’s really sure what happened to Wesley the STEM major who thought he could sell a used textbook last year with some extra highlighting and notes in the margins. Are you thinking of ratting? Don’t bother, she’s running a goddamn syndicate. More than half of Radcliffe’s athletes depend on her to keep them enrolled in their programs, and they’re happy to help with shake-downs and scare tactics if it means discounted rates come finals time.
