که د عمر زیاتیدل غواړي رحمانه

If you desire to prolong your life, oh Rahman!

یار خفه که چې یو شپه درباندې کال شي

Upset your beloved; one night would feel like a year.

نه به ما غوندې شيدا وي په جحان کښې,

Neither will there be another lover like me in the world,

نه به تا غوندې دلبر شي بل پيدا.

Nor will another like you ever be born.

چې له غرونو پريوتلې وې بيا پاڅې

Che la ghrunu prewatale vi bia pasi,

The one who fell from the mountains will ascent,

پاڅیدي نه شي د زړونو پريوتلې

Pasidai na shi da zrhunu prewatale.

The one fallen from the hearts may never rise.

غم دے ده مينې مې په سر او سترګو,

زه دا پردو خپلو خندا اوخوړم.

Worry for Your love covered my eyes,

I've been backstabbed by strangers and friends.

ته چې ماته وايئ ته په چا شيدا يئ؟

And you keep asking me who i'm in love with,

ذه په تا شيدا يم وايه ته چې يار د چا يئ؟

I'm in love with you, tell me who is your beloved?

چا چې کړي دې دنيا ته آسرې دي,

Whoever has had hope from this world,

ده همه واړو په سر خاورې ايرې دي.

All of them are covered in dirt and ashes.
