There have just been so many coincidental and tremendously inconvenient things happening for my family this year, and it looks like that’s not letting up soon... but we’re making it through!! we’ll be fine eventually!!

we’re definitely looking into how to fix this. my dad went to the store to talk to loss prevention and they got security footage of two people giving my parent’s names and the correct order number only a few hours after we left the store. either there’s some scheme going on with the Home Depot employees, or like... maybe when we went out to dinner afterward we left the order form on the car seat visible through the window?? i have no idea...

Oh no!

yeah we bought it through the hardware store, but the manufacturer apparently canceled the order. I’m guessing someone else called to cancel their order and they canceled ours instead by accident. it doesn’t help that, despite our order being canceled, we don’t seem to have gotten a refund, soooo.... idk what’s going on. like.... we kind of need a washing machine!! :/

haha thank you! though even if everything was messed up, the worst that would happen is not graduating with honors, I’d definitely still be allowed to graduate. but it’s still nice to know that the all-nighters i pulled writing social science essays and working on my thesis project won’t be in vain!!

That does sound like a hassle. I know next to nothing about programming, so it is cool that you are learning. Fingers crossed for less bugs in the future.

yeah definitely. next time will probably be easier since i’m more practiced with this scripting language, so i won’t have to keep looking up how stuff works, and i’m more familiar with common errors so i can watch out for those

I actually started relatively early! obviously not early enough, but it felt like I started at a responsible time. that’s the problem with programming assignments though, if everything goes right it takes like 30 minutes, but you can get hung up on a single bug for hours...
