the ecstatic king clasped his hands together in a fit of excitement- so many new subjects had entered the game. being the king he was it seemed only proper to give them all a greeting and then (hopefully) send them off to the tracks where he wouldn’t have to deal with them any longer. he loved having new denizens to direct their attentions to him.

“Hey. C’mon, wakey, wakey, kiddo.”

there’s no hesitation as the redhead swiftly brings his leg back----& promptly kicks the kid’s stomach, grinning in glee as the action brings forth the intended response. kneeling down beside the groaning ( & hurting, probably -- oh he hasn’t even STARTED yet ) teen, he grabbed hold of those raven strands ( ohhh they’re soft! ) & pulled, the redhead finally seeing the kid’s battered face. 

oh. kid really was a kid.

so maybe the extraction process was a bit rougher than he intended, but that completely wasn’t his fault! with the rest of that team & that giant robot ( don’t forget that other one! that mirrored visage that he almost double took for an illusion ), it took a bit more effort than usual to obtain his target. not that it was necessarily hard, but they were turks for a reason.

& he had a job to do.
