He had never ran so fast, racing down the icy slopes and diving into frigid water to drag the stranger free from the ice. A quiet thank you to the creature that made him for giving him the small scales over his skin that protect him from the cold. Sadly, the other didn’t fare the same, undoubtedly freezing as he moved.
“Jeez, girl! Do me a favor and stay awake, I’ll get you someplace warm fast!”
