Not to constantly yap about Raimo but him watching the muppet show is funny in the context of its 500 years in the future and extra funny that he’s an alien just with no frame of reference for the celebrity guests. Imagine if your only frame of reference to classics like treasure island and a Christmas carol is the muppet version

"That's what I've been trying to tell people. Kermit is so full of wisdom and we should all strive to listen to what he has to say." Maybe his human classmate had made a mistake showing Raimo the franchise of the most delightful and relatable puppets he'd ever seen. They didn't have heartwarming shows or movies like that on Orion. They just had insane soap operas and pulpy action movies.

You weren't supposed to be soft and into sappy green frogs singing about the swamp that he loved. It wasn't actually good date material if you were a normal person focused on romance. But Mira had made the mistake of asking where the famous quote about things not being easy when you're green came from. She probably thought it was an Orion saying.

Their date spot tonight was Siskos, it was the earth establishment that Raimo frequented often with his only other friend outside of Mira in the academy. "You know what I like most about Kermit and his friends?" Raimo asked before taking a sip of his drink, giving Mira enough time to get out a 'oh what?'. He set down his glass gently.

"They're all just like weird little guys who flail their arms but they're all friends and I just think that's really nice. No superiority or anything, they are just a bunch of little guys who are putting on a theater show or making a movie." It was a nice change of pace to you cheated on me with my sisters evil twin and also you're pregnant with some other mans baby plot lines that Raimo was used to.

"I think the thing I like most of all is that they're all just really cute. They're all just adorable! Even the ones that aren't conventionally cute they're still kind of adorable." Raimo refrained from telling her that if he was going to date a man it was going to to be a man who was cute and flailed his arms like a weird little muppet.

Raimo took a sip of his drink and looked at Susuro. They weren't in Quarks today, this information couldn't be passed along in Quarks, because the man himself had massive ears and would hear them. Raimo settled for the Klingon restaurant for their lunch meet up. Oh where did he even begin? That he was in the jeffries tubes? The complex issue with the station that he was sent in to fix? It was so hard keeping gossip to yourself when it's this juicy. "Okay so, I was doing some fixing Quarks and I was up in vents right? You know as you do when you're fixing a problem at Quarks."

Susuro was a good gossiping buddy. They always had something to tell each other when their scheduled shifts managed to line up for lunch. The things that you heard in medbay were just as juicy and scandalous as the things that happened in engineering.

Raimo leaned in to whisper the next part, just in case Quarks giant ears could hear them all the way out here. "And I swear I saw Quark doing a dreamy sigh as Odo left the bar after yelling at him." Rai knew this sounded crazy. Julian had told him he was just sighing out of relief when Raimo had floated the suggestion during his last appointment and O'Brien had told him that he didn't care and to 'get back to work'. "Susuro I swear on my life it was the wow this guy is so dreamy sigh and that is not something I swear on lightly! I have an event next weekend that I'd like to be alive for!"

I love the idea of O'Brien being Raimo's boss because you're having the worst time on this space station, it's falling apart and now your green lieutenant is stuck in a jeffries tube but they did find eight more problems on top of the problem of them stuck in the tube for you to fix.
