Imagine with me that the first three winners are deities. Now imagine that they have domain over their celestial bodies. Now let's go further and give them more claim... you following?
Grian, god of the sun: sun, life, harvest/plant life, tangible light sources like fire, lightning (communicates on altars via candle flame)
Scott, deity of the stars: stars, death, afterlife/existence, intangible light like reflections and rainbows, perhaps both healing and injury because of that tie to death (communicates on altars via mirror glare/discoloration)
Pearl, goddess of the moon: moon, waves/tides/water/flooding, rain, fertility, time (tracking), war (communicates on altars via water ripples)
Grian and Pearl are siblings (maybe twins), two sides of the same coin, day and night... Scott and Pearl are nonromantic soulmates, sharing the night together, working together to create beauty in darkness
If you like that, have a rough/first draft drabble under the cut >:D
could i have a flower husbands or a scottishbeans? :3
Thank you for voting for both of them in the @tangotekshipbracket! Hehe, here's scottishbeans in a canon divergent Limited Life sort of world that I whipped up under the cut :D
"It doesn't have to be this way, Joel!!" Scott called over his shoulder as he weaved through the trees and tried his best to avoid the blasts of crossbow fireworks.
"Yes it does, Scott!" Joel insisted, voice both distant and far too close for comfort. "You're still green!"
Another blast went off, only narrowly missing Scott, but the force of the blast threw his body into a tree. Scott tossed his arms up to protect himself, his arms gaining red indents that show off the indents of the tree.
Fuck, that hurt. Scott hissed through gritted teeth, doing his best to ignore the pain as he pushed off from the tree. He stumbled the first few steps as he tried to regain his bearings before continuing to run. There wasn't time for him to stop and take a break. He just had to keep moving.
The clock embedded into their very beings, counting down the seconds with a faint tick, tick, tick that only seemed to grow louder the longer he ran.
Tick...
Tick...
Tick...
BOOM
One of Joel's projectiles finally managed to hit him, using his back like a bull's eye. The force of the explosive knocked him down, Scott face planting on the ground. Dirt streaked his body and he knew the bruising would be grotesque.
Part of Scott just wanted to quit and let Joel take an hour from him. Just let him have what he wanted so badly. Maybe then would he be allowed time to breathe, time without him running to save hours.
Scott staggered to his feet, hand cradling his back and vision blurred. His ears rang something fierce, blocking out Joel's cheers, and his body ached, throbbed, screamed...
Joel finally caught up to him, a smirk wide on his face and his eyes gleaming as they often did with his manic bloodlust. He used his inventory to switch out his crossbow for a diamond sword. "You can't run now, Scott!"
Scott leaned against a near by oak tree, using it to support him. His chest shuttered, trying to keep air circulating through his lungs. Hair stuck to his face and tears involunteerly trailed down his cheeks, yet he smiled. "Kill me, Joel."
The eagerness Joel exhibited dimmed for a moment as confusion furrowed his brow. "What? Why aren't you fighting back?"
"I have," Scott breathed out, voice barely above a whisper, "but I don't want to run any longer. Take it, Joel."
Debate creased Joel's face as he crept closer, still on guard. "What blummin' game are you playing?"
"No game," Scott promised, eyes fluttering closed as he braced himself for Joel's blade. "Just letting you take what you want."
The edge of Joel's sword rested against Scott's neck while Joel's other hand held Scott against the tree. He kept his eyes closed, expecting Joel to make his death swift, but he didn't.
Scott opened his eyes, only to be met with Joel staring intently at him. Joel's breath was hot on his face and blood bubbled on his neck. "What are you waiting-?"
Before Scott could finish what he was saying, Joel's lips were against his. It was hot and hungry, almost like Joel was trying to eat his lips over kiss him. Joel's teeth were sharp, breaking the fragile skin of his lips. Despite its roughness, Scott melted into it, returning the kiss just as fiercely. It was harsh but brief, Joel pulling away far too fast.
"I hate you," Joel claimed sharply, but Scott just laughed airily. He had accepted Joel's unconventional displays of affection fighting against his bloodlust long ago.
"I know." Scott ran his tongue against his lips, bittersweet affection towards the other man spinning around like a tornado within him. "I hope the time is worth it."
Joel curled his lip into a snarl before letting it relax. His hold on Scott loosened for only a moment before he tightened it again. "I'll make it quick."
And quick he did make it. Scott almost didn't process his words before the sword pierced his throat and the shuddering agony of a respawn pushed his soul from his body. The pain was gone in a moment, only leaving a phantom lingering of Joel's touch and blade behind...

Knock, knock, knock!
The quick pattern sounded against the door to the Coral Isles, announcing Cleo’s presence before they ever used their voice. “Martyn?”
Martyn raised a brow at that, curious what Cleo (or, perhaps, The Clockers in general) needed. Considering the “walls” weren’t actually walls at all, the door was useless in keeping people out. Most just went around it, but here Cleo was, waiting.
“Yeah?” Martyn inquired, exiting the chest room to go around the building and approach the zombie hybrid. “If you’re looking for Scott, he’s not here.”
“I’m actually here for you,” Cleo corrected as Martyn opened the door. She looked more exhausted than usual, shoulders hunched slightly and eyes creased with her lack of sleep. “Can I come in?”
Martyn raised an eyebrow at them, considering it for a moment. They didn’t appear to have malicious plans, so he stepped back and held the door open for them to walk through. “I won’t stop you.”
Cleo only nodded, officially entering the Coral Isles. Martyn led her up to the deck Scott had decorated, considering it the most comfortable place above water to take someone. “So whatcha here for? I mean, I’m always down to have a bit of a chinwag, especially with you, but y’know.”
“No reason in particular. Why? Am I not allowed to see my soulmate and my kids’ godfather?” Cleo asked lightheartedly, poking Martyn’s side.
Martyn batted her hand away with a chuckle. “I mean, a’course you’re allowed, but you don’t typically come all the way over here unless you need something. I’m usually coming to you.”
Cleo’s playful expression morphed back to exhaustion as they rubbed at their face. “I just needed a break from Bdubs and Scar. I love them to death and back, don’t get me wrong, but playing the role of ‘mother’ is so draining.”
“I can imagine.” Martyn glanced toward the direction of the Clockers’ base, furrowing his brow for only a moment before turning his attention back to Cleo. “Eyy, well, mate, you’re always free to crash here. I’m sure Scott won’t mind. Chosen soulmates, gatekeep and gaslight, y’know.”
Cleo cracked a smile at that, an airy laugh escaping from their lips. “Thank you, Martyn. You’re the best.”
“I know.” Martyn smirked, allowing over exaggerated confidence to accent his words. He wrapped his arm around Cleo and she leaned against him. Their end positions had Cleo use Martyn like a pillow and Martyn perfectly content to snuggle his soulmate as she slept. Void knows they need it, and Martyn knew there were much worse ways to spend an afternoon than be trapped under Cleo’s resting body.
for the requests can you do some more snowbugs? :)
hi thank you for helping snowbugs try and win the @tangotekshipbracket poll here's a snowbugs pottery painting date drabble under the cut
“There are just so many options!” Tango gawked at the pottery lined up on the shelves. There were plates, mugs, animals, signs, garden gnomes, and way too many other things for Tango to wrap his head around. “How am I to choose?”
“Just pick what seems fun to paint, firefly.” Scott responded as he picked up a sculpture of a cat. “Do you think I could make this look like Elle?”
Tango turned to observe the cat before nodding. “Yeah, I’m sure they have the correct colors. It’ll look great on your Elle shrine.”
Scott covered the lower half of his face with his hand as he snorted with amusement. “It’s not a shrine!”
“Sure it isn’t.” Tango pulled his phone out of his pocket and opened his camera app. “Do I need to remind you of it? What cat dad has a place dedicated to their cat’s photos and treats and-”
“Well, can you blame me?” Scott accepted defeat on it “not being a shrine” and changed tactics to defend it instead. “Naturally, Elle deserves the best of the best! She’s a princess, after all! What’s stopping her from being a deity as well?”
“Godly powers,” Tango replied with a teasing smirk on his lips, slipping the phone back into his pocket. “Maybe you can paint some onto her.”
sorry for the abrupt ending- I would have written more but, part way through writing this, I was told my grandpa isn't going to make it so yippie (sobbing) im sorry I tried but ya know...
I PROMISE I VOTED SNOWBUGS BUT MY WIFI IS TRASH </3 anyways im just here for the campaign, any small drabble of ur choice would b epic tho! (i love your writing so-)
I BELIEVE YOU I DO I DO </3
Also, why make me choose ahh! (also eeee I'm happy you like my writing) Okay, here's some snowbugs featuring calming down from an anxiety attack under the cut
Scott gnawed on his bottom lip as he pulled at his fingers. They popped the first time he tugged on them, but quit after that. Still, he continued to pull and bend them, just needing to do something with his hands. Something to keep his mind off of everything that overwhelmed him.
Breathe in. Breathe out. Breathe in. Breathe out. Don’t cry. Don’t make a noise. Breathe in. Breathe out. Breathe in-
“Scott?”
He wasn’t usually one to jump when called his name, but his anxiety was running high which made him easy to startle. Scott glanced up through his eyelashes, but he didn’t say a word. He wanted to, he tried to, but no words came out. They were stuck in his throat, painful and clunky. Tango.
“Can I sit next to you? And touch you?” Tango asked, keeping his tone soft and careful. “Or is that too much?”
Scott held up his index finger, meant to signify that the first part was okay, and nodded. Tango hesitated for only a moment before settling down beside him. He rested his hand on Scott’s shoulder blade, not moving for a second to ensure Scott wouldn’t flinch away, before rubbing gentle circles.
The movement was soothing and the presence of a friend helped, especially since Tango didn’t push for him to talk. He closed his eyes and continued to walk himself through breathing. In and out… in… out…
“Thank you,” Scott croaked once the lump in his throat cleared.
“Of course,” Tango murmured with a small smile. “Do you want to talk about it?”
“No.” Scott hunched his shoulders, starting to scratch at his forearm. Faint lines started to appear on his skin, and they would have only grown dark with broken skin and blood if Tango didn’t place his hand on Scott’s.
Scott was going to protest, needing to fiddle with something, but Tango pulled a fidget toy out of his pocket with his free hand. “Here, use this thingamajig. It helps me.”
He pursed his lips in consideration before taking Tango up on his offer. Scott leaned into Tango’s hold as his fingers busied himself with the fidget. The anxiety that had him in a chokehold previously continued to slip away, replaced with warmth and the steady sound of Tango’s heart beating…
my social anxiety increases to 1000 if i go to send a message to someone on this app, absolutely terrifying. would sending an ask fix my problems? yes. will i do it? no
