RIVERS OF NIHIL launch "Rain Eater" performance demo video

Rivers of Nihil have posted a brand new performance demonstration video for "Rain Eater" from "The Conscious Seed of Light." The track, which has quickly become a fan favorite, is among songs that can be heard live this fall as the band performs a series of headlining shows, plus NJ Deathfest on their way to join Dying Fetus for a week of shows through the Midwest/east coast. Rivers of Nihil's debut album, "The Conscious Seed of Light," was released yesterday throughout North America and was recorded in March of 2013 at Mana Recording Studios in Florida with famed metal producer/musician Erik Rutan. While "The Conscious Seed of Light" is not necessarily a concept album traditionally speaking, Rivers of Nihil began this project with the idea that they would release four separate albums tied together with one common theme: each reflecting a particular season of a year. Bassist Adam Biggs elaborates; "The Conscious Seed of Light is intended to be representative of spring and explores various themes concerning new beginnings, growth, and an attachment to the natural world in a post-human Earth. Unlike some concept records however, we wanted to allow each song to work on its own terms. Rather than have the songs rely on each other to move a specific story structure forward; they work within their own separate narratives, but ultimately serve the album's broader concept." RIVERS OF NIHIL confirm tour with Beneath the Massacre; release new studio video

Rivers of Nihil have released the second of three studio videos from their recording sessions at Mana Recording Studios in Florida. The video showcases a bit of drumming from the immensely talented Ron Nelson, as well as some of the various antics that are bound to occur while recording a record with Erik Rutan. Rivers of Nihil have added to their already busy Fall touring schedule. In October, fans will be able to see Rivers of Nihil touring with Beneath the Massacre, Rings of Saturn, and Legion throughout the east coast. "The Conscious Seed of Light," will be released on October 15th in North America and October 11th/14th in Europe/UK via Metal Blade Records.
