I decided to make a rainbow of formal wear for my intended Bridesmates (please note that I am 100% single and not engaged at all) because I am gay and want a 10000% gay-themed wedding ceremony. I hope my future bride feels the same way.

✨ As promised, here are some photos from the wedding day !  ✨ I really hope they go viral and reach as many people who need them as possible ! Dreams do come true!

The thunderstorms that had been soaking us earlier in the day broke away and we had the most gorgeous photo shoot with smoke flares. I hope you all enjoyed them and it brought some happiness to your day.

I am finally able to start sharing my special day with you all thanks to my photographers Jen and Mel at Memories & Milestones Photography getting my photos to me only a week after the wedding! I cannot recommend these girls enough. If you are a bride getting married in Devon at any point please give these girls a call. They were absolutely fantastic and the photos are stunning!

In the photos above are some of the best shots that showcase my beautiful custom made Sailor Moon inspired wedding dress, that was beautifully handmade by the wonderful Catherine Blades of Blades Bridal in Berkshire.

Catherine was absolutely wonderful in bringing my ideas to fruition, she was supportive and excited of what I originally envisioned and after several months we had the stunning dress above that I wore on the day.

Super Sailor Moon has always been my favourite transformation and this was the design that inspired me to go for a custom made dress that I could really put my own thoughts into. From early on I was confident that I wanted the yellow and blue at the bottom of a 50′s style tea dress with the pink bow on the back.

Catherine achieved the colours of Usagi’s skirt with metres of coloured petticoat in blue, yellow and green and after consultation we decided to elongate the back of the dress to better display the large pink bow on the back of my dress.

After two years of weight loss, she was also able to really draw attention to my waist using a yellow to imitate Sailor Moon’s belt and we added the lace decoration in the centre to capture her her transformation broach while still keeping in trend with the elegance of the dress..

We added the little lace jacket because I was concerned with the temperature and it perfectly looked like the sheer sleeves of her sailor fuku.

My shoes were based on Usagi’s boots, custom made on Shoes of Prey in a beautiful deep pink, with silver trim and decorative pink bow. My pearls were an engagement gift from my Husband from Tenerife Pearl. The lace ornament in my hair was bought from ebay.
