I’m the type of person who curses at holiday decorations displayed before December 1st. I am also the kind of person who watches holiday films until the end of February. I hope you are the type of person who gets in the holiday spirit on November 4 because today is the day we are bringing you “Rainy Christmas Day”. In December 2019 when Dietrich Strause and I had independently moved from Boston and it’s legendary music scene to London England and Ghent, Belgium respectively, we sat in my kitchen, as the rain pitter pattered against the skylight, and realized we would never have to shovel our cars out again. In late January 2021 we met up on a rainy day in @studio_room13 in Ghent, Belgium to record this new tongue-in-cheek holiday classic. Thanks to @ankarblom for arranging the perfect retro-strings and @mattybonez for singing pitter patter with just the right level of irony.
