Genji enthusiastically run to Gin’s room, bare feet stamping quickly on tatami and wooden floors. He slowed down only to sneak throught the door, as if he was sneaking perfecly silent before. But right after he called other kid loudly: “Hey! I brought you some soap!” Boy pulled a small, neatly wrapped in paper pack and reached out to Gin. “I’ve heard father saying that Sanda’s are filthy! And you are Sanda, so you should wash, you know?”
He was proud of himself. Such a resolute, smart boy, wasn’t he? He found a solution to filthy Sanda’s problem! And he saved Gin from getting called “filthy” by his father! HA!

Hanzo: so you chose a life of wandering instead of having a home? humph Why would you want such a fate of life?Satoshi: I would ask the same of you
Hanzo: I have seen you before, years ago back in HanamuraSatoshi: You did? I don’t remember ever meeting youHanzo: small laugh I learned to remember faces.
(Hanamura specific interaction)Satoshi: it still feels odd coming back here after being awayHanzo: chuckles a bit you think you have the nostalgia bad? Wait until we get into the Shimada Castle.
Satoshi: what was it like, growing up inside the Shimada Clan?Hanzo: I was forced by the Elders to kill my brother because he wasn’t obeying–there would be many other places that would be more fit to grow up in. Not even the riches could counter the pain.
Hanzo: You seem to be rather fond of wolvesSatoshi: I find that interesting coming from the lone wolf.
Hanzo: You should find a different life goal than trying to join Overwatch. Why join a group that tries to do hero work but is more corrupted than what they fight against?Satoshi: It’s not because of the name or what they have done, but what they represent: a bettering of the world through helping others.Hanzo: scoffs a waste of time.
Satoshi: What keeps you going, Hanzo? My dreams keep me going along, but what drives you?Hanzo: My purpose for wandering will remain to myself.
Satoshi: Do you think redemption is achievable, even though the darkest past?Hanzo: redemption is earned through action, not just words, but sometimes it will never be enough.

He tried to back away from the form, the chains scraping against one another noisily. I grated on his nerves. Reminded him of how they captured him and stripped him of his armor and pelt, his weapons handled carelessly as they restrained him. His teeth were still bared at the man, a low growl rumbling from his chest. The man didn’t seem scared as he approached, allowing him to pick out a few more details.
The sight of those silver eyes made him straighten up. Something seemed off about this human...no there was something else there. It was distinctly inhuman that made him question the man’s motives for an entirely new reason. He couldn't place it. The metallic smell of dried blood seemed to interfere with his sense of smell.
He could barely make out the other’s markings in the dim lighting, golden eyes only leaving his gaze to study his overall appearance. His own golden markings were hidden underneath the dirt and blood. Hearing the other speak in that tongue made his gaze snap up, that distrustful look changing to one of confusion and perhaps even held a sliver of hope.

"Hanzo, you need to sleep. You're running yourself ragged."
"No. Not yet." Even his voice betrays his state, croaky and slurred, taking too much oxygen to get even three words out.
He doesn't dare make eye contact, for he knows his eyes tell the same tired story. "I must find him. He is my brother, Satoshi. I cannot rest until- until-"
The words don't come. A fresh wave of heavy, thick exhaustion hits him and he's out of air, unable to hold back the yawn and shiver that follow.
"Please. I could not rest even if I wanted to."
".. I would suggest to cease your attack and turn yourself in. You will only see far more grief than you can handle."
"Attack? Aww, honey, if you consider this attackin'...Nah, I ain't turnin' no one in. Least of all myself."

Ever since Genji had assisted Satoshi into Overwatch and, got him settled in, things seemed to change for the boy. He felt more at ease around the cyborg, always tried to join him for training or meditation sessions, as much as he wasn’t good at either one.
It was only one day, that the first sign began.
Satoshi was making himself a plate of food when he grunted and started to cough, covering his mouth and holding onto the door frame for support. Why was he suddenly coughing out of nowhere? He hadn’t been ill lately, to his knowledge. He’d actually been rather health thanks to the doctor. But he kept hacking and kept his mouth covered, only to move his hand away to see what laid within his palm.
Flower petals, looking like that of the white lilies that his adopted mother loved. His silver eyes widened at the realization of what this meant. He heard of this before, in the many books that his father had. And it made him shake.
Who was it? Who was it, that he had sudden feelings for, enough to cause this? Only one name came to mind and, god, if he were to find out….it would only make things all the more awkward.
……The Cyborg Ninja himself, Genji…
He and Satoshi had indeed gotten quite close. They shared a lot in common, and he always enjoyed the sparring sessions they’d have from time to time. Was he ever glad to have met him and guided him to Overwatch.
That day, he went to meet him as usual, knowing where he’d find him at this hour. However, he was met with the sight of Satoshi leaning against the door frame. He had heard the persistent coughing. Was he sick?
“Satoshi?”
Genji called, reaching out to hold the other steady. “Are you--” The cyborg paused, eyeing the flower petals in his hand. Did... did he just cough out those flower petals? He knew of this condition, now possibly seeing it before his eyes. “--alright...?”

15: Kiss in the Rain
Genji had been standing out in the rain for a while. It was calming. He was so lost in thought that he didn’t realize someone was approaching him until Satoshi was right next to him. He looked over at the other man, taking in his appearance. How the rain trickled down his face and made his black hair shine. When Satoshi looked at him, he couldn’t help himself. He reached out slowly to cup his cheek and leaned in to kiss him.
A hand came to rest on Satoshi’s hip, his thumb brushing over the wet fabric there. He pulled away to meet his gaze. Those silver eyes always managed to take his breath away. “What are you doing out here, lightning bug?”
