--Expose workshop of Raja Ampat's birds --
Quite an interesting workshop has been held. As you can see that the Bupati (chief) of Raja Ampat is very interested to green stories of Raja Ampat's birds. And the t-shirt that I specially designed got his attention too, not that because of the t-shirt it self but the fact that Maleo Waigeo is only live here in Waigeo island, nowhere else in the world but here ❤️!
Bird of Raja Ampat Expose is small workshop to expose the birds diversity in Raja Ampat West Papua. It is a collaboration program of FFI and TNC data on birds of Raja Ampat. Attended by the chief of Raja Ampat - Abdul Faris Umlati, SE and head offices of Raja Ampat government it's huge success to raise the awareness of bird richness and beautifulness in Raja Ampat. The important points raised and agreed during the expose were; 1. Encourage ecotourism community development that support Raja Ampat vision of Gempar Emas -- movement of tourism development that economically impacted to community (considering the nature sustainability, ecotourism, environmentally friendly development) 2. Law enforcement of illegal activities ( wildlife poaching etc) 3. Better access and facilities to tourists destination (land-based tourism) 4. One gate management included land-based tourism. 4. Forum for land-based tourism in Raja Ampat. The idea of developing birdpark also raised considered all applies regulations.
