The old ramen shop near Yukigayaotsuka where local workers would often have lunch. The building had seen its better days when I first saw it in 2006 or 2007, but the owner lived upstairs so like many of these old shops, it was also a home. I haven’t been there since covid began and I wonder if it is still around.

Lunch Break at the Best Noodle Shop

So what? Well, nothing really, except that this small, privately owned shop with limited hours that looks like it and its owner have both have seen their better days has some of the most reasonably priced and delicious ramen, soba, and related dishes around.
