Swedish music in Swedish recs 1/2
When learning a language I’ve always found it most helful to just surround myself with it. It is super helpful to just get comfortable with the melody of it and listening to languages helps massively with pronunciation. So, I wanted to recommend some awesome songs in Swedish and some artists that mostly make Swedish songs.
Håkan Hellström - Arguably our most famous active musician. He started as a drummer in the Swedish band Broder Daniel before going solo. He holds the attendance record at one of our biggest arenas, a title he stole from Bruce Springsteen, so he is very famous. There is also a film called "Känn ingen sorg" which is based on his lyrics and it is really really good.

Laleh - Swedish-Iranian singer, She is not as famous as the others on this list but still has a large fan-base. She makes songs in both Swedish and English. She also perfomed in Oslo after the tragedy of Utöya with her song "Some die young" in a haunting and beautiful performance.

Veronica Maggio - I remember when her album "Satan i gatan" was released, I was in year eight and fell in love. Me and my friends listened to it over and over again and it is still one of my favourite albums. Since then she's released two more albums, making five in total and they are all great.

Oskar Linnros - In the early 2000s he was part of a rap-duo called Snook after which he bacame a producer and produced Maggio's 2008 album before releasng his own solo album. Today he has a finger in most parts of the music buissness and recently released his third solo album.

Daniel Adams-Ray - The second part of Snook who also has a successful solo career. His song "Gubben i lådan" was charted as 1 and earned platinum in 2010, it was everywhere and although it wasn't my favourite it made me interested in the rest of his music.
