She couldn’t help the tears that brimmed in her eyes,after eighteen years of hoping and praying for her daughter’s safe return, she was finally getting to see her baby girl.

She sniffled and managed a small smile.

“You look like me.”

The tiny mouse was stunned by the young woman’s words. True love doesn’t exist. True love doesn’t exist. She couldn’t believe she heard such words coming from her. Dejected or not when they were said, Minnie didn’t know, but what she did know was that it just wasn’t true.

“That’s not true… true love does exist.” 

She would know, after all, but she wouldn’t go into that right now. “It might take someone a while to find it, but sometimes we just have to wait for it to find us.” Minnie offered the blonde a soft, kind smile.

“True love exists, and I know one day you’ll believe me when you find out for yourself.”
