@nxmikaze yeah, I don’t think I’ve ever had anything else hit 1K notes in 24 hours before.  I certainly wasn’t expecting it to be as well liked as it is.

Guys, can you take a moment of your time to help me understand a piece of Tumblr culture?  I can not wrap my head around the concept of liking things but not reblogging them.   I realize that there are different reasons people might like a post and not reblog it, but as someone who prefers hitting the reblog button (I reblog a LOT to my side blogs) over liking things, I just can’t wrap my head around this.   As an artist I rely on reblogs to help get my work seen, so when I upload and am met with a wall of likes and virtually no reblogs it’s really frustrating.  Worst of all is that I have zero understanding as to why the piece is getting likes but no reblogs (thanks Tumblr, for your lack of sociability).   If nobody wants to share my art, that is fine.. but then I’ll be rethinking posting it here, considering how depressing it is to watch chicken scratch rack up 4058505-5 notes while artists go unseen because nobody wants to reblog art that is less known.   I can just slap my art on DA where I have a 25K+ following already, and roll in comments, faves, and views, though I’d prefer to leave DA behind and strictly post my work here... but I can’t rebuild a following here if nobody reblogs.  Popularity doesn’t happen without a hand from others.   So, if you guys can enlighten me to what I am doing wrong?  Perhaps also let me know if there is anything I’m doing right? Is my art just that shitty? (I wouldn’t be surprised if you guys think it is)  What is the magic formula to getting reblogs?

What is a bad habit of yours, or what thing annoys you the most?

Hmm, I’m probably full of bad habits... I can explain OCD as bad habits, right?  That aside though, my worst habit is probably sleeping with the TV on.. or rather not sleeping if the TV is off.  I swear, we’re all fucked if I ever have to suffer through a long term power outage! Things which annoy me the most are probably the times when people don’t live up to the standards I believe they should be living up to.  Yeah, I totally realize that I set myself up for this failure, but I want to believe that people are decent SOOO BADLY!  (Viewing people for what they are is insanely depressing)Anyway, in general I rage a fair bit when someone does something inconsiderate.

What is the best time you have had in the last 4 months?

Who knows?  I have good times here and there of course, but I don’t like getting excited or giddy or super happy etc.. The ideal way to be is just calm because everything else ends up sucking long term.  So.. the good moments tend to just blend into the rest of everything else because they aren’t allowed to stand out, otherwise I will feel like shit after.
