Oliver Stone’s “The Doors” biopic is so underrated. If it were released today, it would have gotten Oscar nominations, with the likes of “Bohemian Rhapsody” and “Rocket Man”. Val Kilmer definitely deserved more acclaim. He was so into the role of Jim Morrison that the surviving members weren’t able to distinguish the two. He learned all of the songs of The Doors, and got into it so much, that he had to seek therapy to remove Jim from his head.
