I think it was actually based on clownfish since it's one of the tags for the fic. ;) And it was my pleasure to rec this to you; it was one my best read this year.

funny fact: whilst googling clownfish syndrome earlier because of this the very first link I clicked on was about ‘clownfish disease’ instead which is also known as ‘Brooklynella’

Paranoid

So my dog is sitting on the other end of the couch with my dad and we're watching TV. Out of no where, my dog sits up and starts growling at the fire place. He is just staring at it intently. Now, I saw Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones recently and I'm pretty superstitious so Im sitting here like "Hey dad, Duncan is growling at nothing and you know what that means. We got a ghost and or demon!" needless to say, my dad just looks at me and laughed. By the way, Duncan is still staring intently at the fireplace with the occasional growl.
