The jobs that Art had been taking since he arrived in Stella City were... somewhat unorthodox, to say the least. The market for private detective work was just as booming as it ever was in Yokohama, but most of his clients were, well, sheep. Apparently, they had to worry about criminals just as much as humans did, and they had no qualms about enlisting a human investigator for help.
Today was no exception. He’d been contacted by the owner of a priceless jewel housed in Melody Museum about a larceny threat, although they’d been decidedly vague about the circumstances of said threat and his duties in guarding the jewel. He’d opted for a casual approach, spending most of his time sitting on a bench “reading” a novel.
Nothing unusual had happened so far, since traffic at the museum had been slow. The most suspicious person he’d encountered all day was the man who was currently lingering for a noticeably long time in this particular room. That in itself wasn’t particularly odd, but Art felt the need to be cautious.
Stopping beside the man, in front of the piece he was meant to be protecting, he leaned forward a bit as he eyed the display.
“It’s a beautiful necklace, isn’t it?” he asked, glancing to the side as he addressed the stranger with a casual smile. “A bit ostentatious, though.”
