Moving Day

RANTARO AMAMI APPRECIATION WEEK - DAY 5

(Rantaro Amami x Shuichi Saihara x Reader)

It’s been about 3 months since you moved in with Rantaro Amami and Shuichi Saihara. And for the first time ever, you truly felt as though you belonged somewhere. The dynamic between the three of you just felt... right. You admit that you did have doubts about this whole thing at first but all those doubts melted away instantly on the day you moved in.

It was a beautiful sunny day, you had just finished putting the last of your things in the moving van and were officially off to start your new life with the people you loved. Once you arrived at your new place, you saw Rantaro standing outside waiting for you. You got out of the van and ran up to him. You greeted him by wrapping your arms around him and giving him a peck on the cheek, eliciting a blush from him.

“Ah... Um h-hi Y/N.” Shuichi said clearly flustered by the kiss. “Hi Shuichi!” You said, very happy to see him. “Where’s Rantaro?” You asked as you looked around. “He’s in the kitchen unpacking, c’mon, I’ll take you to him!” Shuichi said as he offered his hand to you. You took his hand and went inside your new home.

Once you two arrived in the kitchen, you saw Rantaro putting some plates away in the cupboard. When he saw the two of you, he smiled and walked over to you guys. He wrapped his arms around the two of you and pulled you into a group hug, planting a kiss on each of your heads. He looked over at Shuichi. “How’s my little detective doing today?” He asked with a smile. Shuichi couldn’t contain his blush. “W-well I’m d-doing fine Rantaro.” Rantaro gave Shuichi a small kiss on the forehead. “I hope that made it a little better than “fine” partner.” Rantaro said as he ruffled Shuichi’s hair. “I-I’m gonna go get some boxes from the van.” Shuichi said as he stumbled out the kitchen. You giggled as you watched the clearly flustered detective try to navigate through all the love you and Rantaro were giving him today.

“And how are you doing, angel?” Rantaro asked as he put his arm around you. “I’m doing good, just tired from all the moving.” You said with a sigh. “I know what you mean love, why don’t you go take a little break? Shuichi and I will bring your stuff inside, take some of the load off.” Rantaro offered. “You sure? I’d feel bad if you two did all the work for me...” You said looking down. “Hey now, don’t worry about it! We love you and don’t want you to overwork yourself.” Rantaro reached into the fridge and pulled out your favorite cold drink. “Here, drink up and come back when you feel better.” Rantaro said. “Thanks Taro, I love you.” You said before wrapping your arms around his waist. “I love you too baby.” Rantaro replied as he returned the hug.

Rantaro joined Shuichi outside as he helped him unload a particularly heavy box from the van. “Where’s Y/N?” Shuichi asked. “Oh, they weren’t feeling too well so they’re just resting up a bit.” Rantaro told the detective. “Hmmm... do you think that maybe there’s something more on their mind? Like maybe something’s bothering them?” Shuichi asked. “I kind of had the same idea, but if the Ultimate Detective thinks so too then I think it would be a good idea to check up on them.” Rantaro said sounding a bit concerned. Shuichi nodded as they set the box down and made their way over to the room where you were sitting.

You were deep in thought, looking out the window sipping on your drink when you heard footsteps coming in your direction. You turned around and saw Shuichi and Rantaro approaching behind you. “Hey... um... we were just wondering if you’re doing okay?” Shuichi asked as he lightly scratched the back of his neck. “O-oh I’m doing okay... just a bit tired!” You said as you flashed a smile trying to reassure them. “Then why are you crying sweetheart?” Rantaro asked. You didn’t even notice that there were tears streaming down your face. When you realized that they weren’t gonna let you drop it, you let out a sigh and began to speak.

“I-I’m sorry guys... it’s just that I’m really nervous about moving and everything. It’s not like I don’t want to be here, I do! I’m just a little scared is all.” You said truthfully. Shuichi nodded as he walked over and wrapped his arms around you. “It’s okay to be nervous Y/N. To be honest I’m a little nervous too, but I’m also really excited! I’m excited that we can have this time together. Because well... I love you.” Shuichi said, still hugging you. Rantaro joined in on the hug. “Y/N, I’ve been on a lot of adventures in my life. But there’s not a single one that I’ve been more excited for than this adventure that the three of us are about to embark on together.” Rantaro said with his long arms still wrapped lovingly around the both of you. You were so overcome with happiness at how much love these two guys were showing you right now that your tears continued to fall. “T-thank you guys so much, seriously... I love you both so much.” You said. Rantaro and Shuichi both smiled. “I love you too.” They both said almost in unison. “I feel a lot better now so... I’m gonna go grab some more stuff from the van. Thanks for talking to me you guys.” You said with a smile as you rushed out to the moving van.

“I love them so much...” Shuichi mumbled as he let out a sigh. Rantaro put one arm around Shuichi’s shoulder. “I do too...” Rantaro said with a smile. Rantaro then looked down at Shuichi. “And I love you too, partner.” Rantaro said as he placed a kiss on Shuichi’s head. “GAH!” Shuichi exclaimed as he made his way towards the door. “I-I’m g-gonna go help Y/N some more! Love you!” Shuichi said as he quickly made his way outside. Rantaro chuckled and shook his head. “Too cute.”

This was the most difficult thing I’ve ever written by far! But I’m glad I was able to challenge myself! This may not be my best work but It’s good practice for possibly doing more stuff like this in the future! And practice makes perfect! Day 2: Baking

Rantaro x Reader

Note: This is rather self indulgent as I tend to bake while stressed. @rantaro-amami-appreciation​

Work had been extremely stressful the whole week each day that went by more and more paperwork was dumped on top of you. Luckily you were able to finish the load of work you had recieved earlier than you thought, but the thought of tomorrow and the potential brain pain it’ll cause sent your mind straight to panic mode. So you do something that always calms you down, baking. It’s strange that something that can go easily wrong was something that brought you joy and relaxation.

There was already a mound of cookies sitting on a plate next to the giant bowl of dough, you’d definitely have to hand some out to your friends. Letting a small sigh escape your lips as you decided to sit on the mat in front of the oven, watching the cookies bake. Sure, you were relaxed but there was only one thing missing, until you heard the jingling of keys outside the door. “(Y/N)? Where are you?” Ah there it is, that sweet deep voice you adore “I’m in the kitchen!” Footsteps sounding closer and closer until eventually the love of your life is in front of you, well in this case above you. He looked a little confused when he stepped inside “Down here.” Letting out a giggle as you got his attention, a loving smile graced his features as he looked at you.

He reached out one of his ring clad hands to you, when you placed your hand in his he pulled you up and into a tight embrace. You gave him a quick kiss on the lips while his arms remained wrapped around your waist, “How was your day, honey?” He could already tell how it was by the way the sweet scent of freshly baked cookies overwhelmed him the second he took a step inside.

Nuzzling your face into the crook of his neck “Absolutely exhausting but, I was able to finish all the work earlier than expected.” Placing a few kisses on his neck and shoulder “How about you my dear Rantaro, how was your day?” A little laugh left him, “It was good, even better now though-” he squeezed you tightly “simply because I’m with you, aaand I can tell you missed me.” You could hear the smile in his teasing tone, though you’d be lying if you said you didn’t miss him, he was usually home all day planning his next adventure to search for his sisters. So coming home to an empty house when you were looking for some recharging Rantaro cuddles was extremely saddening.

You were enjoying the silent embrace that you were in before suddenly “RRRRIIIIINNNGGG” your timer for the cookies started blaring at max volume. You quickly jumped out of the embrace to put on an oven mitt and bring the cookies out of the oven, placing the tray down on the stove top. Rantaro’s arm whizzed past you to turn off the oven, he may have just seen the big pile of cookies already made. You tossed the oven mitt onto the counter next to you and looked back to your boyfriend, slightly wide eyed at the amount you already made let alone the dough still leftover. A sheepish smile on your face as you go to put the bowl of dough away and transfer the fresh ones to a cooling rack. Before you could turn around to start putting the cool ones away you were swept off your feet, Rantaro was holding you bridal style in the middle of the kitchen “H-hey I need to put the cookies away.” “That can wait for later, right now you need to calm down with some cuddles.” His smooth soothing voice playing in your tired brain on repeat, you wrap your arms around his neck “Alright then.”

He carried you to your shared bedroom, gently placing you on the bed. He quickly got in next to you, pulling you into his firm chest, you buried your face into his neck as you wiggled as close as you could. He was so nice and warm, you hadn’t realized how cold you were until you were wrapped in his loving arms. Your worries seemed to melt away the more you pressed your body into his, placing soft feather light kisses to the skin you were able to reach as a little thank you. He hummed a familiar yet unrecognizable tune it was lulling you closer and closer into sleep. Your eyes were shut “I love you Rantaro” it was muffled by his neck and shirt but he heard you loud and clear, “I love you too (Y/N).” you could feel his warm lips press a soft kiss to your forehead before drifting off to sleep in his arms.

The adventurer was warm. Always so warm.

His arm was around you, holding you securely against his side. His other hand was holding an umbrella, shielding you both from the rain as you awaited the train home. He was a good bit taller than you, just the perfect height for you to rest your head against him happily.

Rantaro glanced down at you with a soft grin on his face. "You warm, love?"

You nodded at him, nuzzling further into his side. "Just because of you."

His smile widened and he squeezed you. "I'm glad."

Just then the train came into view, screeching to a halt in front of the two of you after a moment. You followed Rantaro onto it, hands tangled together. He closed the umbrella and pulled you into a seat, giving you the window. Once you were both settled you leaned against him once again.

A soft kiss was placed on the top of your head, and his strong hand rubbed circles on your knee. His rings pressed into it, but that only made your stomach flutter.

You yawned and he raised his eyebrows at you. "Sleepy?"

You hummed in agreement and dropped your head on his shoulder, closing your eyes. He chuckled and kissed your head again. "That's alright. We still have over an hour 'til our stop. Get some sleep baby."

So you drifted off, cozy against your boyfriend's warm side and the sound of rain hitting off the windows of the train. All was well.

Movie Night

RANTARO AMAMI APPRECIATION WEEK - DAY 7

(Rantaro Amami x Reader)

“Hey baby! I’m home!”

That was the voice of your boyfriend Rantaro Amami, who had just arrived home from a long shift at work. You were extremely excited to see him because you had something special planned for tonight.

You ran up to Rantaro and gave him a big hug. “Welcome home!” You said nuzzling into his warmth. Rantaro returned the hug. “Haha, I see someone’s happy to see me! What’s up with you? How’s your day been?” He asked. “My day’s been boring without you around!” You pouted. “Awe I’m sorry pumpkin. Is there any way I can make it up to you?” Rantaro asked as he stroked your hair. “Hmmm... Movie night?” You asked him. “Oooh sounds like fun! What kinda movies do you have planned?” You looked up at your boyfriend and said: “HORROR MOVIES!!!”

“Horror movies eh? You sure about that? Last time we watched a horror movie together you couldn’t sleep for almost a week.” Rantaro said sounding doubtful. “Don’t think I’m strong enough handle it?” You asked jokingly. “Of course not! I just don’t know if-“ Rantaro was interrupted by you jumping into his arms and giving him a quick kiss. “C’mon pleeeeaaaasssseeee???” You begged. “Aw how can I say no to you Y/N?” Rantaro sighed and kissed you back.

About 30 minutes passed, you two were getting ready for the movie night together. Rantaro microwaved a few bags of popcorn and you went to the store to pick up some candy and soda. When you came back, you two prepared for the big night by piling all the blankets and pillows on the couch to add to the cozy atmosphere. And now it was time to start the movie. You and Rantaro sat next to each other with all your snacks and blankets surrounding you. You scrolled through a bunch of movies before selecting one that you thought would be the scariest. And with that, you pressed play and began the movie.

It started off innocently enough. Not too many scares, and the ones that did appear were only minor jump-scares. Nothing that phased you too much. But as the movie went on it got more intense. “You doing alright baby?” Rantaro asked looking over at you. “Y-yep! N-never better!” You stuttered in response while keeping your eyes on the movie, not wanting to show Rantaro that you were scared in any way. “Well alright if you say so.” Rantaro said as he looked back at the screen.

But after a few more minutes, a really big jump-scare appeared on the screen. “AH!” You yelped and shut your eyes extremely tight. Maybe picking a horror movie wasn’t such a great idea after all. When you opened your eyes you saw a terrifying scene unfold in the movie. You quietly gasped and clung onto Rantaro, burying your head in his shirt. You felt Rantaro’s arms wrap around you. “Shhh it’s okay, it’s not real, I’m right here.” Rantaro cooed. “C-can we turn it off?” You asked quietly. “Of course baby.” Rantaro said as he turned off the movie.

You just sat there clinging to Rantaro. “Is it off yet?” You asked. Rantaro began to rub your back. “It’s off sweetie, don’t worry. You’re safe.” Rantaro said sweetly. “I’m sorry for making us watch that... I should’ve known I wouldn’t be able to handle it.” You said with a frown. “Hey now, don’t beat yourself up over it partner. The movie was almost done! You did so good! And I’m really proud of you!” Rantaro said cheerfully. “Thanks Rantaro... that really means a lot.” You said with a small smile.

“Now how about we put on something that isn’t scary? We can watch whatever you want!” Rantaro offered. “Yes please.” You said, still snuggled into your boyfriend’s warmth. After that, you chose your favorite movie and fell asleep halfway through. Rantaro noticed you fall asleep so he turned off the movie and gave you a kiss on the forehead. He then laid down and pulled you into his chest, wrapping his arms around you tightly. “Goodnight Y/N.” He whispered. “I love you.”

Rainy Weather

RANTARO AMAMI APPRECIATION WEEK - DAY 1

(Rantaro Amami x Reader)

The morning started off with the loud siren that was your phone’s alarm. The loud noise echoed in your ear for some time, while it was annoying, it was necessary, because you and your boyfriend Rantaro Amami had a big day planned! The two of you were going to go on a romantic picnic on the hill. This hill wasn’t just any ordinary hill, this hill was you and Rantaro’s spot, the place where he first confessed his love to you.

You remembered it like it was yesterday, it was a beautiful spring afternoon. Rantaro had invited you to the hill for a picnic, much like the one planned for today, except you had no idea of his true intentions. You two had lunch together as friends all the time! But that day was different, he seemed nervous. Like something was bothering him. When you asked him what the problem was, he opened the lunchbox he packed for the two of you and handed you a sandwich that was cut into the shape of a heart. He then told you how he had always felt about you, that he had loved you for as long as he could remember. You were extremely shocked that someone as amazing as Rantaro saw so much in you.

That was the start of your beautiful relationship with your beloved. That day was the reason why the hill was such a special place to you. So you were extremely excited that today you were going to go back there with the man you loved. After you woke up from the alarm, you ran downstairs to see Rantaro who was wide awake. When he saw you approaching him, he couldn’t help but smile. The amount of love this man had for you was insane.

You sat down on the couch next to your lover and leaned into his warmth, to which he responded by wrapping his long arms around you. “Good morning baby!” Rantaro said lovingly. You nuzzled your head into his chest as a response. Rantaro rubbed your back and chuckled before letting out a rather gloomy sounding sigh. “What’s the matter Rantaro?” You asked him sounding confused. Rantaro raised his hand and pointed to the living room window. You turned your head to look at what was bothering your boyfriend, and when you saw what was out there, your expression changed from a look of excitement, to a look of disappointment. It was heavily raining outside.

It instantly hit you that the picnic by the hill wouldn’t be happening that day. Without uttering any words, you put your head down. When Rantaro saw how sad you looked, his heart broke. There was nothing he hated more than seeing you sad. But suddenly, his face lit up. He put one hand on your shoulder to get your attention. When you looked up at your boyfriend, he began to speak up. “Hey there partner, don’t be sad! I’ve got an idea!” Rantaro said with a gorgeous sparkle in his eye. “What is it?” You asked curiously.

“How about we have our picnic here?! We can set up a picnic blanket and I can pack a lunch for us! And we can even watch a few movies!” Rantaro said sounding rather excited. You looked at him as a big smile made its way across your face. “Yeah! That sounds really fun!” You said happily.

And just like that, a fun day in with Rantaro began. You and Rantaro set up a picnic blanket in your living room and ate sandwiches while watching all of your favorite movies and TV shows. After you two finished eating, Rantaro turned on the fireplace and sat on the couch. You picked out your favorite book from the bookshelf and curled up on the couch with your head resting in Rantaro’s lap.

“You want me to read this to you, Y/N?” Rantaro asked. You nodded. Rantaro chuckled as he began to read you the book you chose in his gorgeous deep voice. As you listened to the story being told by Rantaro, you began to grow drowsy. After a long day of indoor activities with Rantaro, you were a really tired. You let out a yawn as you began to fall into a deep sleep. When Rantaro noticed that you had fallen asleep, he placed a bookmark in the book and gave you a kiss on the head. “Goodnight Y/N, I love you so much...” He whispered in your ear. After he wished you a goodnight, he laid down on the couch and pulled you into his chest, he gave you one more kiss and began to fall asleep, extremely excited for what tomorrow would bring for the two of you.

Sweet as Sugar

RANTARO AMAMI APPRECIATION WEEK - DAY 2

(Rantaro Amami x Reader)

It was a nice quiet afternoon. You and your boyfriend, Rantaro Amami, have been lounging around all morning. While the two of you loved each other’s company, the two of you were a bit bored with just sitting around all day. So you decided to speak up. “Rantaro, I’m borrreeeeddddd...” You whined. Rantaro let out a light chuckle. “Well what do you wanna do baby?” Rantaro asked kindly. You took a couple minutes to think. It hadn’t even occurred to you what you wanted to do with him! You looked around your house for any ideas on what you could be doing right now. When your head shifted towards the kitchen it hit you.

“What if we bake something?” You asked as you looked up at your boyfriend. “That’s a good idea!” Rantaro said right before ruffling your hair a bit, causing you to blush. Baking with Rantaro was always extremely fun. He grew up with 12 little sisters, so baking was a something he did a lot over the years. Everything he made was always delicious, and he always loved when you would help him out in the kitchen as well!

The two of you began to make your way to the kitchen, Rantaro wrapping his arm around you as you walked. Once you two got there, Rantaro pulled out his recipe book from the top shelf. “What’re you in the mood for today Y/N?” Rantaro asked as he opened the book. You thought about it for a minute, tons of dessert ideas flashing through your mind like strobe lights. After about 30 seconds of deep thought, an idea came to your mind. “How about... CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES?!” You asked excitedly. “Alright cutie, Chocolate chip cookies it is then.” Rantaro said while smiling.

And so it started, the two of you began gathering ingredients to bake the cookies together. You two were having so much fun baking with each other! “Hey sweetheart, can you hand me the flour please?” Rantaro asked you. You nodded as you handed him the bag of flour. “Thanks angel.” Rantaro said as he began to incorporate the flour into the dough mixture. After he was done with the flour, he dipped a finger into the flour bag and booped you on the nose. “Heyyyyy!” You exclaimed while giggling. “Sorry! I couldn’t help it! You’re just so darn cute!” Rantaro said as he put his hands up defensively.

“Two can play at that game mister!” You said as you grabbed a pinch of flour and flicked it into Rantaro’s face. Rantaro let out a chuckle. “Oh it’s on!” Rantaro said as he grabbed some more flour and flicked it at you. And then it started. You two were having a full on flour war. Flicking small amounts of flour onto each other, until the amount of flour you two were throwing began to increase, it increased until the two of you were throwing fistfuls of flour at each other! You two were laughing like a couple of dorks the whole time. “I’m gonna get ya!” Rantaro said with a handful of flour. You stood in place putting your arms up. “STAHAHAHAPP RANTARO!!!” You yelled while cackling. Rantaro gently tossed the flour at you. You repaid the favor by throwing a rather large handful of flour at him as well.

Before you two knew it, the kitchen was a mess and the cookies were in the oven. Rantaro looked around. “Hey sweetie, you go get yourself cleaned up, I’ll clean the kitchen, okay?” Rantaro offered. You nodded as you went to go take a shower. When you returned, Rantaro, still covered in flour, was pulling the cookies out of the oven. They smelled delicious! The sweet aroma of milk chocolate filled the house as Rantaro carefully took two cookies and put them on plates for you two. After he handed you a plate, he held his plate in one hand and wrapped his free arm around your shoulder. “Let’s eat!” He told you excitedly. You nodded as you took a bite out of the piping hot cookie, Rantaro did the same.

The taste could only be described as heavenly. Nothing on this planet could compare to one of Rantaro’s chocolate chip cookies fresh out of the oven. “Whaddya think Y/N?” Rantaro asked as he looked down at you. “Oh my god...” Was all you could say. “You like it?” Rantaro asked while smiling. Your immediate response was to scarf the whole cookie down, set the plate on the counter, and hug Rantaro as tight as you possibly could. “I think that answers my question haha!” Rantaro said as he wrapped his arms around you as well. The two of you spent the rest of the day curled up on the couch and eating homemade cookies together, having the time of your lives.

Coffee Confessions

RANTARO AMAMI APPRECIATION WEEK - DAY 6

(Rantaro Amami x Reader)

“I’ll take the usual please.” You said to the barista. “I’ve gotcha.” The barista said with a wink.

This was usually how you spent your mornings. Ordering your favorite coffee from your favorite coffee shop made and served by your favorite barista. The barista in question was a rather tall boy with piercing green eyes and green hair to match. This boy’s name was Rantaro Amami. Ever since you first saw him at the coffee shop, you couldn’t help but be at least a little attracted to him. I mean look at him! He was incredibly handsome, and whenever he spoke, there was a certain level of maturity and understanding that wasn’t all that common with guys his age.

It didn’t take very many visits for you two to become acquainted. You often came in at around 6 am, and Rantaro was normally the only one working at the time, so the two of you would often share casual conversations as he made you your drink. “So how’s life been treating you?” He would ask. “Ah same old same old, just trying to get through the day as usual.” You would reply.

After he gave you your drink, he would sit and watch you take your first couple sips. “How do you like it?” He asked. “It’s really good! I think this is the best one yet!” You said back. “Haha, I’m glad you like it! Since you order this every day I figured I might as well work on perfecting it for ya.” Rantaro said smiling. Him saying this caused you to blush a tiny bit. You could feel the butterflies fluttering about in your stomach, but you quickly shook it off, you needed to keep your composure.

After several months worth of mornings with Rantaro at the coffee shop, the bond between the two of you continued to strengthen. It was so easy to talk to him, you could tell him about anything troubling you, just to get it off your chest, and he would listen to every word. If you wanted, he would offer you some advice! He was pretty good at giving advice. Judging by how effective all the advice was, you figured he’s been through some things in his life. His mysterious aura only attracted you to him even more.

Fast forward to today.

This morning, you were particularly nervous. Why? Because you had decided that today would be the day that you would confess your feelings to Rantaro. The very thought petrified you. But you knew you had to tell him otherwise this secret would eat at you forever.

You arrived at the coffee shop at your usual time, you walked up to the entrance and reached for the door, but your arm stopped. “Am I really doing this right now?” You thought to yourself. You stood still until you noticed Rantaro in the shop, standing at the counter, waiting for a customer. When he saw you at the door, his face lit up and he waved to you. If your heart wasn’t pounding before, it definitely was now. You looked over at your crush, who was patiently waiting for you to join him in the shop. You gulped as you slowly opened the door with your trembling hand.

Once you walked in, you sat down at your usual barstool and looked down, too nervous to say anything. “Lemme guess, the usual?” Rantaro asked. “Y-yes please...” You said timidly, trying to hide your blush. “Hey now, no need to be so polite. It’s just me! You know I don’t bite!” Rantaro said with a lighthearted tone. “O-oh... haha yeah...” You could barely even speak. Rantaro noticed that you were acting odd, but he put it off for a bit as he made your drink.

“Here ya go, drink up!” Rantaro said as he handed you your drink. “T-thank you...” You said meekly as you sipped your drink with trembling hands. Rantaro’s face showed a look of concern, he decided that he would at least try to ask you what was wrong. “Hey Y/N, what’s the matter? You doing alright?” You nearly spit out some of your drink. Rantaro... your crush... just said your NAME? You knew that you’ve mentioned your name in front of him a few times but didn’t realize that he had actually remembered it. This realization caused you to blush intensely.

“Uhhh... Y/N?” He said it again, your heart was pounding at this point, but you knew you couldn’t just sit there forever. You decided to speak up. “R-Rantaro... can I tell you something? Something... important? To me?” You asked nervously. “I mean, if you’re okay with telling me, then I’m all ears!” Rantaro said, his green eyes looking at you with mild concern. “Promise you won’t make fun of me?” You asked him. “Y/N, I’m not that kind of guy, I’d never make fun of you, I promise.” Rantaro replied. This was it. The big moment. It was now or never. You took a few seconds to gather your thoughts, and then you started to tell him.

“Well... the thing is... I-I-” You gulped. Were you really about to say it? No, there was no time for second thoughts, it was too late to turn back now. “I REALLY LIKE YOU!!!” You yelled. After the abrupt confession, you buried your face in your hands. You didn’t know what to expect. That is, until you felt his hand on your shoulder.

“Y/N... is that what’s gotten you so worked up today?” Rantaro asked gently. You shyly nodded, still feeling extremely flustered. “Oh Y/N... I’m so sorry that I’ve caused you to feel like this... But, I hope you know that... I really like you too...” Rantaro said rather quietly. “W-what?” You asked looking up at the boy. “I really like you Y/N! I have for a while now! I was actually gonna tell you pretty soon but, you beat me to it.” Rantaro admitted. “You really... you really mean it?!” You asked in disbelief. “I wouldn’t joke about something like this!” Rantaro said as he put both his hands in the air defensively. You couldn’t help yourself, you jumped into the young man’s arms to which he responded by catching you in his embrace and holding you for a little bit.

“You’re really cute y’know that?” Rantaro asked as he put his nose against yours. You just giggled as you snuggled your face into Rantaro’s chest, you never wanted this moment to end. Is this what everyone meant by “fairytale moment”? You two stood there for a little while, hugging each other tightly, until Rantaro spoke up. “Oh yeah and that coffee? It’s on the house.”
